Nothing wrong with that, it only sucks is if their attitude is that they're not willing to fight anywhere. A true champion is willing to fight anywhere, even if for one reason or another, it makes sense for his fights to be at home.
I agree with this - particularly in Williams' case where he's not a name in the U.S. That said, there's absolutely no reason for him to do that. Now...if he was staying at home to fight bums, then I'd be pissed.

Winky fought plenty of very lowly rated fighters (or roadside bums as you call them) at Jnr Midlleweight, and stopped very few of them. His last KO was in 1999 for goodness sakes, and his last TKO was in 2002.

If you honestly think Winky would have knocked out Miranda in four rounds you know very little about boxing.
Please tell me the name of these fighters who were not bums that he knocked out!!! Let me guess, Howard Eastman? The same H Eastman who lost to Will Joppy? And Abraham didnt knock him out..

You've been misinformed...Bob Arum turned down the fight because he said he had issues with Al Haymon and would never have his fighters fight any of Haymon's fighters that he represents!!!

I already gave you two examples. Can't be bothered to continue with this conversation, you're going round in circles.

So getting beat by Pavlik makes him a good fighter? Miranda hits hard but lets be honest he doesnt have boxing skills. He is a stationary target.

Miranda hits hard but his power is overrated. In fact, so is he.

Did you not watch the fight tonight on HBO? Larry set you all straight on the matter.

I agree, but he's not a "tomato can" or a "roadside bum". He's not elite either but he was good enough to give Pavlik a tough fight.

LOL!!! When do real boxing fans listen to commentators when they can read the truth for themselves?
