no he beat barreras morales marquez (twice) diaz he destroyed dlh worse than gayweather did. mayweather has to prove himself u cant come back after one or two years and expect to be ranked in the same spot it dont work like that

Before PBF retired the P4P throne was disputed... some P4P list at that time had Pac at number1.

If PBF did not retire... I think he will eventually lose(that is if he would face the top fighters) and the list will slightly be the same as it is today.

At the time PBF was #1 and Pac was #2... I believe PBF was the rightful P4P king... because Pac was just starting to peak at the point of his career.

But to think that PBF's retirement was the lone reason why Pacquiao became P4P#1 is just plain PBF-nuthugging.

But why when pac has everything and more then mayweather?

mayweather is in a higher division thts the only difference really...both hav amazing speed and footwork, floyd has an amazing defence...id say pac has the better offence...

Pac was #2...if he was put back down to number 2 just because floyd is back without proving himself properly...wld be unfair...

as Puntoyhauf just said...its true...pac was peaking so wouldnt be fair to put floyd above him...it comes down to personal opinion anyway so no1 is gonna be right..

Floyd is a complete fighter who beat every man they put in front of him. He left the sport for, what he called, a retirement. Based on those facts, he cannot rightly step back in the spotlight and expect to return immediately to that stature given Pac has been active in big fights and winning. However, looking purely at the two for who and what they are, Floyd will, IMO, always be rated over Pac until they meet. The two aren't even on the same level as far as skill and I can't rightly feel the inferior boxer is "better" than the other. So, based on the thread, Floyd would NOT re-take the P4P #1 spot just because he returns. Although, if the two should meet, he undoubtably would.

Everyone? I don't think so. You can't retire, come back, then get back into your spot when others have done enough to earn that spot during the time Floyd's been sat on his ass. **** that!

Floyd hasn't proved he can hold the torch and defend his #1 spot. He bowed out after 2 big money fights (in 2 fights he was heavily favored in). Pac seems to be on a roll.
