this fyt with andreas proves that warren and khan mean business now. hey, this is a champion one division up he is fyting, though some spoilers would say kotelnik is lesser than bradley, urango, etc. still, kotelnik is much better than most stal***** in the LW division. well,..you cannot just satisfy erveryone....

ummmm ok.....hatton is 45-1 lineal jr. welter champ for 4 years...kahn fights his fist good opponent who's an unknown and gets KTFO!...and then fights a washed up barrera...and now thinks hes ready for a belt....he should go fight valero first who doesnt have a belt, and see how long kahn last....kahn=hypejob....solid fighter, but will never be elite imo

Good opportunity at 140 for him even though i reckon he gets beat by the more experienced kotelnik, maybe he was having problems making the 135 limit, he look like a big lightweight and he isnt ready for the big boys at 135...

Who is he supposed to be 'avoiding'? It's easy to produce a list of guys Khan 'should' be fighting, but this is boxing and those fights have to be made. It's laughable to talk about Valero, for example. Sure, if there's one guy he should avoid it's probably Valero... but the fight would never happen before Khan got a belt, and it's dubious then. Valero could pick a dozen opponents ahead of Khan that would make him twice as much for a fight in the US, and no way would he come to the UK unless it was for a belt or more money than Warren is likely to to be able to generate from the fight.

Valero has a belt and khan is 22 yrs old so ofcourse he gets KTfO.. Its easy to be 45-1 when you fight 40 odd bum on the WBU belt, it remains to be seen whether khan would turn out to be elite but at 22 and with only 22 fights under he seem to be on the right path, same cant be said for hatton at 22 or 24...he was still on his WBU tour of fighting is usual bum of the month under warren.

I don't think there's many excuses for this fight . Kotelnik can't be that much of a bum if he's the WBA champ , never been stopped and made 2 defences . I think Khan'll be lucky to get a decision let alone stop Kotelnik but best of luck to him anyway .

                  Very good post.

It is bizare that people forget this kid is only 22. There is another decade left in him. Yet he is expected to take on the world and its mother.

Best option right now for Khan to become world champion.

means nothing these days, its an easy accomplishment with all the belts we have around today, hatton is a hypejob to be honest. His fans keeps him up to his current status, the guy is an example of what an ordinary boxer with the right connection (Warren) and a huge fanbase could do for you.
