It's fine the way it is, but if you really wanted to inforce a rule (that the IBF already has...), make it so fighters can't rehydrate over 10 pounds.

So we could go back to fighters dying in the ring from dehydration just so a few boxing fans can keep the legitamacy of a sport in tact??

        Christ!!!!

It’s their fault for being dehydrated
Everyone should face the consequences of their decisions

So these dudes would come in so unfit and be out of breath in the first round like most heavyweights these days.

It's a ***ing sport!!!! Is it just me or shouldn't a persons health come before somthing as trivial as a ***ing sport??? sorry but there is nothing on gods green earth that will ever make me beleive that a technicality in a sport is worth the lives of Boxers. Seriously man shame on you for being so selfish!!!

See this is why i can't stand other sport fans because they wanna make what is essentially entertainment into this life and death struggle.

Well it isn't exactly fair either when guys like the klitchkos have huge size advantages against the majority of their oponents and they arn't exactly unfit. They just happen to be natyurally bigger than most people who compete in the heaviest division in boxing.

What kind of joke is this?
How bout you fight at the weight you naturally come in. Whats the point of dropping 25 pounds of "in between fight" weight only to put 10 or 15 pounds on after the Friday weigh in.
Its dishonest and only serves to give the alphabets more paper champions and more revenue.
I got an idea. Lets go Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight. Period.
Boxing isnt about weight anyway, its about skill. This has been proven time and time again.
Lets stop bull****ting the public with all the weights when the fighters never come in at the division their supposedly fighting at. Well, actually, Oscar did...and he looked like hell.

                  Lightweight-125-150
                  Middle-150-185
Heavy-185 and up (Dempsey and Louis weighed 185 and kicked ass on guys 6'6 250+ on a regular basis)

                  Problem solved.
And for those who think those weights are too wide. Man up. The heavy weights do it all the time.
i know. all the weight classes, and precise weights, maybe weighing .5 or 1 lb over may ruin a fight? that's bs to me.

i had a dream that my first amateur fight, i had to weigh in at 175, and be 168 by the 6th round otherwise it would be a ****ing dq. it was a new weight added rule. it was a nightmare.

The struggle of life and death is what people find most interesting in the entertainment industry. You do know why people watch NASCAR, right?

The Romans also used to feed christians to the lions! Just because humanity doesn't have its priorities straight it doesn't make it right either.

Plus Nascar isn't dumbing down it safety in favor of entertainment.
