He needs a rest anyways, fighting Williams, Clottey, Cintron, Cotto, Mosley takes its toll. Maybe if he comes back he can fight for a vacant belt like Cotto or pick on "Contenders".

He has to be a man and take his punishment. I understand the man has bills and has a family to feed but if he fights in Mexico, it would be a very dumb move in my opinion.

To be honest with you, I think that Marg's career is over IMO. What most people don't realize is, the suspension is a year but that only counts when he can re-instate.

That doesn't mean he will automaticaly be re-instated once the year is over. If he stays with Capetillo, then they might look worse upon that, especially after he said he had no idea of the illegal wraps.

A fighter like Marg, even though still relatively young, has a style that wears on him. He will be 32 I think if he does get re-instated. I just don't know if all the wars he's been through, plus the time away from the gym and the beating he took from Mosley, will be too much for even him to overcome.

Oh and he looks like a ****ing idiot talking about Doc Kearns. People did an experiment on how Kearns allegedly made the wraps, but when people tried to remake those wraps, it failed.

Cheating is cheating period, but I don't see the majority of fans lashing out against people that headbutt, throw elbows to the neck, spit out mouthpieces, purposely low blow, use PEDs, etc.


The fact is, many people were waiting for a chance to **** on Margarito and the gloves scandal provided them with enough ammo to last a lifetime.


Depending on who the fighter is, cheating is tolerated more than its berated.


Some fighters are even revered for it in the guise of being, "crafty".

Using plaster of paris is A LOT worse then using a headbutt or a low blow. Steroids are bad too, but plaster of paris can be deadly. It was unfair and way worse then anything Hopkins, Hatton, Trinidad, or others did.

I think the punishment was justified at the same time I do think some people in this forum have come down on Marg way to hard.

Not saying what he did was ok, just that cheating in boxing is nothing new and fighters have done things just as bad if not worse.

He's not the first to load his gloves and won't be the last. Mike Tyson biting Holyfields ear off was 10X worse. He should have been banned for life.

Managers and promoters caught cheating in betting schemes, fighters throwing fights etc.

Marg is an idiot because I don't think he needed to load his gloves to win. Just my opinion.

The others who were proved to have used plaster were banned for life.
