He's p4p one of the best steroid users of his generation, alongside James Toney and Vargas.

Yeah and Cintron Martinez was really a draw...

Knocking out Margarito cemented his legacy as a great Hall of Fame fighter. Before that you could argue he only had one really good win. I dont think the plaster would have heloed Marg either. Mosley barely got hit cleanly, and he knocked out a guy seen as indestructable.

Very high. He accepted almost any challenge there was. The fact that he used steroids does put an asterisk over some of his victories, but despite that I still believe he would've done very good.

He didn't do it "above his best weight class". Shane moved up because he couldn't make 135 any more. Yes, I give him props for doing it old-school and going to 147. But there is a difference between a guy who moves up because his body is telling him to, and a guy who moves up to challenge a bigger guy.

I rate him Top 5 in this Generation and a Top 75 ATG. The way he looked in Margarito looks like he has a couple good years in him.

Imagine if he is this good till his 40's like Hopkins. MAN that would be something.

If he could beat Cotto, FLoyd than that would boost his Career bigtime

His defeats that stick out WINK, FORREST, are because they were to big for him, but he still fought them bravely. He was at 154 when he fought WInky, and Forrest is hella big.

I agree with this man,Shane tried to avenge both his losses to bigger men,Trinidad lost to Winky and B-Hop in embarrising fashion,DLH lost to a lightweight,Shane came off the canvas against Forrest and made twelve rounds and did it again!!Shane has been the most constant elite fighter between 147-154 of his generation, except for Winky,Shane is the man!!
