Extremely underrated wins?

Hopkins win over Glenn Johnson when he was undefeated is underrated.

Baldomir's wins over Zab and Gatti. People just chalk it up to Zab bein Zab, and no Baldomir didn't do anything dazzlin in that fight. But he hurt and outworked a far superior fighter in a fight he had no business winnin. And the Gatti fight was 1 sided, but that makes cats forget that it was a ****in war. Gatti tore into Carlos wit some nasty leather and fought his ass off, but Carlos soldiered right thru it and stopped him, basically put the nail in his career coffin. Baldomir was just a journeyman, much lesser skilled fighter than both those guys, but was tougher and that got him 2 wins he don't get much shine for.

This was what I was going to post, cept Baldomir was a top 10 ranked contender when he fought Judah. He was the champ when he fought Gatti, so that's more then Journeyman.

Also Baldomir's gameplan of using his right hand and trucking Zab would have beaten him a lot. It wasn't a fluke win.

Also I'm going to say pretty much any dominant champion who defends against Top 10 contenders like Calzaghe, Hopkins Jones, Louis, Holmes, etc. Their competition is passed off as bums because they look so dominant.

"It seems unfair to take a little credit away (from Hatton) but here it goes. Castillo did look like a shot fighter tonight, like he was showing up just kind of to see what this young guy had and when he saw what he had, he thought "It's too much for me." and packed it in on a body shot". This body shot was revealed to have broken four of Castillo's ribs.

I dout some of you will know the two, but a underrated win that dosen't get talked about enough is when hard punching Colombian Rodrigo Valdez knocked out iron chinned Philadelphia fighter Bennie Briscoe, the second time they met for the vacant WBC middlweight title.

Valdez beat Briscoe the first time on points and the in 3rd fight on points, but the second fight knocked him out in 7. Thats a very impressive win, and dosen't get talked about enough. It was the only time Biscoe was ever knocked out in a fight, the rest of his defeats were decisions or DQ.

Except you could tell Castillo was shot by the way he moved and even against Ngodujo. The reason why he was on the P4P list was because of his dominant lightweight reign and wars with corrales. You could tell he was slipping

see everybody craps on this win...but if your going to say castillo was shot...then you must say oscar was shot against pac, thats false confidence there....castillo was number 1 contender jww, still could probably get good wins against most of teh top 10 a jww at the time....hatton def has an underrated win.

Yeah but unlike Hatton, Pac was fighting a much bigger man.

The man had been through endless wars and couldn't make weight in his proper division anymore. You can't compare Castillo to Hatton, look at their performances against Mayweather. Even the second fight was fairly competitive whereas Hatton was schooled and KOd. Ignoring the triangle theory, Castillo clearly lost his previous fight before Hatton, and I was already sad to see this matchup. Hatton is a beast in his division, I won't underrate him he is active enough to beat the Kendal Holt that showed up against Bradley, and maybe strong and active enough to even take on the JWW Champion in Bradley. But I hold more credit in his win over Malinaggi than his win against Castillo.

Hopkins-Tito
The man proves he's a legit middleweight, and had moved up once already because he was having trouble making low weights, he's high up p4p and is a 3 to 1 favorite, people are predicting knockout against Bernard. Then Trinidad gets dominated by possibly the best middleweight of all time and everyone thinks it's cause of weight now...

Calzaghe-Hopkins
Despite which man you think won, age or the thyroid thing, no man has ever tired out BHop and presented those problems before, and probably never will again no matter how much longer he goes on. Calzaghe may swing like a windmill, but his footwork and head movement is very impressive and he had a great approach at pressure fighting that night. He proved he would have beaten a lot of top ranked americans that night such as Johnson (easily!), Taylor, and Pavlik (also easily).
