I think that Chris John's win over Juan Manuel Marquez is underrated.

Marquez was robbed. I don't see how John got the decision in that fight.

Co-sign. It was the 1 time he came up big when he needed too, but it gets forgotten in the midst of all his disappointments.

                  That's your opinion.

I thought Marquez clearly won the fight. No need to get into it and argue an argument that will go no where.

I'll start with one that was on my mind.

I was thinking about how good Ike Quartey was... undefeated for a long time... got a bad decision against ODLH, lost again to Vargas... came back after like 5 years, and made Vernon Forrest look terrible, before Vernon had a really good run, proving that Forrest wasn't just shot. Really, only Wright has made Quartey look terrible.

Quartey had a killer jab that would have given almost anyone trouble in his prime, including someone like Mayweather who has always had trouble against a good jab IMO.

Anyway... I was thinking about how people make claims like, "Vargas lost all of his big fights", and that is complete bull****. He clearly beat Quartey in a really terrific performance, and yet he gets almost no credit for this fight.

Why is that? A convincing win over a prime Quartey is an absolute thing of beauty IMO.

Any other wins come to mind that can hang with Vargas-Quartey?
Quartey was rusty as hell though. He came back after a year or 2 layoff.

Oscar was shot against Pac. He should never have gotten down to 147, its pretty clear. Yeah he made the weight easy but his blood sugar throughout camp was probably very low. He looked like ****.
