Cotto has the type of body that makes it difficult to go up weight classes. Taller skinnier fighters have more success doing that like Floyd, DLH, Hearns, PWill, SRL etc...

If Cotto went up to Middleweight he would just soooooooooooooo small. He'll never be more than a 3 division champ cause his compact body makes it hard for him to go to low, but his height and reach disadvantage will make it very difficult for him to be successful at the higher weights.
If Champion meant that, then I agree.

If he can beat Clottey, Mosley in a rematch and, let's say just for the sake of the argument, that he takes Mayweather. I think he can. Whether he will be considered one is a different story.
      No...he takes ****** fights.

      Margarito and now Clottey.

He has no chance...the same thing will happen Cotto looks great for a couple rounds then Clottey starts breaking that azz down and stops Cotto...Clottey wil be a light heavyweight on fight night.

I'd say so, but he needs some names on his resume, mayweather is the main one.

I agree Clottey is gonna bully this guy as will everyone else form here on out...Cotto has been exposed and if his punches can't hurt a guy he will be buillied like the Margorito fight.

Cotto is the same size as Roberto Duran. and Duran started at Lightweight and went all the way up to super middleweight.

                66 reach

started at 135 went all the way up to 168

I think weight will become a major issue for Cotto. He already looks small at Welter and has to drain himself to make Jr. Welter. As he ages he will find it more difficult to even make Welter, leaving him where?
