Why didn't hopkins camp try pulling the same stunt against Pavlik and Arum?

I mean most fair weather fans never heard of pavlik either, but Pavlik I think got 3-3.5 million guaranteed.

Adamak is about on par with pavlik popularity wise except not being an HBO fighter. So a 1.5-2 million offer would have been a good one.

It all comes down to risk/reward. Adamak is a huge risk. Pavlik was much less so because they knew they were pulling Pavlik out of his natural weight/element.

I would bank on Adamek filling up an arena before Hopkins. Hopkins has to fight a name before it even comes close to filling up. Adamek Vs Guillermo Jones would fill up an arena in certain parts of the country. Hopkins Vs Roy Jones will not sell out any arena.

Anyway, Adamek deserves more than $500,000 for a fight... since Hopkins is challenging him and all.
