The only person I want to see Hopkins fight is Dawson.

I agree with the old man, they(camp Adamek) blew a huge opportunity to take out a big name opponent and jumpstart their earnings power in doing so. since when is 500,00 dollars chump change?

Are you serious....its disrespectful to a current champion an exciting one at that and who would take that risk for 500,000 while Hopkins cashes in with Golden Boy fck these old timers..just retire

Wasn't too interested in the fight to begin with. Don't wanna see Bernard jump up in weight again. Fight Dawson, Johnson, Calzaghe(won't happen) or retire. Bernard's def done enough.

Adamek v Johnson, Dawson comes up to fight winner or fights winner of Bute v andrade. There are so many good fights at these weights. I love bhop but we will be fine without him.

in this case its not about who draws more people or who the champ is...adamek can perhaps make just as much or more fighting a lesser body...but why bother since hell assure himself 500K paycheck after 500K paycheck. Beat hopkins and the millions will start rolling in bc of the instant recognition. Especially if he were to knock him out.

adamek should've taken the deal and demanded some options, adameks people just want a guarantee just in case their fighter gets beat and trashes his marketability. i personally think it's a big missed opportunity on adameks part, to fight a living legend in hopkins, knowing good and well that he has a good handful of advantages over hopkins. a fight with hopkins right now, especially if it's a good showing or a exciting fight, win, lose, or draw, it would help promote adameks career. it sure as hell would be the biggest name on his resume, so i think that the management of adamek's isnt thinking in their fighters best interests, they're only thinking of the immediate fight and not what is after the fight.
if i was adamek, i would be trying to send a fighter off to retirement with a loss, but then again, that is just me, i like that kind of scenario........

bottom line, it would've been better exposure for adamek, he could've opted for some other options in the contract for more money, just not the lions share, and it would've been a better marketing piece of adamek for future fights with the promotion of this match up against hopkins. i think its an oversight on a solid opportunity to gain more exposure and build a bigger fan base so he could demand for more bucks. i think adamek is worth more cash, but his demand says otherwise, mainly because he's unknown, he's just not a common enough name to be asking for a huge amount. at the rate he's going and with a fight with hopkins, after that, if it was a good fight, win, lose, or draw, i bet he would be able to get more money, he just has to go through the gauntlet and right now he's people are keeping that from happening.......

@deuce_drop, I was against the offer originally but your cogent post has changed my mind. Yes, Adamek could try to get options other than more cash but more importantly use Hopkins as a stepping stone to bigger paydays later. Whatever outcome, Adamek would make the fight exciting. He'd get a good name on his resume. Spot on.
