Er.. No dude. What are you dumb ?

He became champ years earlier. But unified the division at 36.

After 36, as an established HOF, he then beat Joppy, C Daniels, Allen, Oscar DLH, Eastman, Tarver, Winky and Pavlik.

    All huge bouts.

Whereas at 36, Calzahe's best wins are Lacy(lol) and Kessler.
The biggest Joke in his carer is his dodgy SD win against 43 year old Hopkins, which just goes to show what he really is about.

so hopkins unified at 36 when calzaghe unified at 33. hopkins only established himself as a top fighter at 36.

He's got nothing more to prove. He's done what many after him won't be able to do.

        Thanks BHOP!

          You're talking rubbish now.

Comparing ages is meaningless in Boxing. The MW division was and still is leagues better than the SMW division. But if you want to play a numbers game, here you go:

Calazghe had Warren on his side, and had probably the most engineered career in boxing.

Whereas Hopkins had nothing, and make it the old fashioned way. Face and beat everyone and work your way up, with no hand outs.

As soon as Hopkins became champ, he unified the division in 6 years, again Trinidad, who was 2-1 favourite, expected to end Hopkins career.
He faced arguably the best opposition and has an impressive resume.

Calzaghe on the other hand took the WBO belt, and held the shabby belt in the worst division for 7 Years. (where Hopkins unified his division in 6).
It took Calzaghe a whole friggin decaded to unify his division.
It's not as if Calzaghe was coming of losses in his career, he was udnefeated, but hand picked his opponents, and finally, after a decade, unifed and his best wins were against : Kessler, Lacy.

Once about to retire, he faced Hopkins and RJJ at the combined age of 83! Even then, he stole a SD against Hopkins.

Tell me Boxasmash, why did Joe not move to the States to face these two before they were old, passed it and about to retire? Answer that !

Expect Calzaghe fans to accuse both of them of 'Ducking' Calzaghe

you cant honestly praise hopkins and discredit calzaghe and keep a straight face. trinidad did sweet **** all at 160+, who cares if he was the favourite going into the fight, people overrate fighters, it happens.. just look at jeff lacy.

hopkins unified in 6, calzaghe unified in 7.. again big deal. hopkins is american, he has more opportunities than calzaghe, none of those german ******s wanted any of joe (ottke etc). all of hopkins' biggest wins came against smaller fighters than himself besides tarver and johnson who were not at their best at the time. hopkins' best wins at 160 were trinidad (LOL, he is 3-3 at 160+ and 2 were bums) and de la hoya (1-1 and 1 was a robbery) two midgets. why would calzaghe have to come to america to fight hopkins? he can draw 50,000 in wales, hopkins cant draw flies to ****.

calzaghe went on to beat hopkins after too and hopkins has two embaressing losses to jermain taylor to cope with on his resume, after watching his last few fights that has got to reduce someones legacy loosing to him

Too bad the Adamek fight isn't happening. I would have liked to see Hopkins in the ring one last time.

It's funny how you and other calzaghe fans criticize hopkins so much and say he's not all that and didn't accomplish much, etc. not realizing that by doing this it only makes calzaghe look like **** even more considering the fact calzaghe fought and barely got a decision against a 43 year old version of hopkins. Idiots. You should do the same as you do with kessler and hype up hopkins to make joe look like a god. You're only hurting your cause (which is **** riding calzaghe all day/every day).
