How are you gonna say that **** about "take the 147 out of that sentence". WTF is that???? If you take to 10 out of Peter Manfredo's loss column he is undefeated and maybe the greatest fighter in our generation.
I like all of your excuse words like "for the most part". too bad he doesn't have enough balls like a morales, mosley, leonard, duran or many other fighters who are icons who can say without hesitation or excuse "I fought the best fighters of my generation".

All I'm saying is, 140lbs+ is a minor part of Floyd's career, yet, funnily enough, it's the only part that his detractors seem to care about.
And it's not the same as discounting losses, as his run up there does boost his legacy. Just not to the extent his run at the lower weight classes does.
He still managed to fight and beat an on-point Zab Judah, Baldomir at the height of his career, and undefeated, multiple division champion, Ricky Hatton. And the De La Hoya fight is a decent win also, especially when taking into consideration that he moved up yet another weight class for it.

and De La Hoya slipped considerably since the Floyd fight also... And he moved down and weight drained himself for the Pacman fight

"He's a great fighter. He is the pound for pound king of 2007 - of this era."
- Shane Mosley
"The best pound for pound champion in the world, no doubt about it, Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather."
- Oscar De La Hoya
"He's an amazing fighter. He's one of the few fighters I've ever seen, like Muhammad Ali - he watches every move his opponent makes, and capitalizes on those mistakes. That's a gift. You can't teach that. Floyd's number one of this era. He's fought the best of this era."
- Sugar Ray Leonard
The truth is he's simply the best fighter alive today. All you haters can hate all you want, but you are simply blinded by the truth. And the truth hurts. Even the best know Mayweather is the best. As Hopkins said, it is what it is. Don't hate on what's in front of your face.

My uncle, a devout fan of boxing, is great friends with an up and comin prospect in the welterweight division. Said el Harrack. He spars with pros form time to time while developing his pro career and zab judahs pops was watching him spar and has seen mayweather spar recently and said mayweather isnt lookin too hot...said Said would rough him up and is probably going to spar with him soon.
Now i know sparring isnt that great of a tool to judge wether or not someone is ready but it still has to hold some weight...i wanna see floyd do well..cant wait to see if hes sitll got something left in the tank
