Now i know sparring isnt that great of a tool to judge wether or not someone is ready but it still has to hold some weight...i wanna see floyd do well..cant wait to see if hes sitll got something left in the tank

again, when could this fight have been made?

clotty is still marginalized. he will still be marginalized if he doesn't beat cotto... which is unlikely on PR parade day.

How do you know margo didn't cheat for the past 2-3 years?

how do you know how well margo would've done if he didn't cheat (that is if he did cheat)??? maybe all of margo's success is from cheating. if he didn't cheat maybe he wouldn't have gotten all the attention he did in the first place.

i don't think mosley or cotto have to fight pwill

bhop, mosley, srl, these guys called floyd the greatest of this generation... not me. you can quote them on that.
      vALID POINT BRO BUT REALLY
HOW CAN YOU OR ANYONE ELSE CALL HIM THE GREATEST WHEN HE HASNT FOUGHT THE BEST
HE IS BAD ASS NO DOUBT BUT CAN YOU REALLY SIT THERE AND CLAIM HE HAS FOUGHT THE BEST OUT THERE? I KNOW he is new to the WW divy but come on man he isnt going back down.
Do you really think he has fought the best competiton out there?
All you fan boys have to do is at least admit that he has not fought (Im not saying ducked cause I dont by that) the best competition out there and you and you boy Mayweather would get a lot more love.

Hey Larry the same could be said about Floyd and
              Gatti -Mikey Wards Thirsty Thirds
              Judah-Kosta sloppy seconds
Oscar-Mosley left overs and Bhops left overs
Its a cycle bro cause with the exception of your boy almost every fighter loses
But I give you cred for admiting that his resume isnt great.

He's a great fighter, who needed to fight better opponents.

                      - Bernard Hopkins

"He's a great fighter. He is the pound for pound king of 2007 - of this era."

                      - Shane Mosley

"The best pound for pound champion in the world, no doubt about it, Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather."

                      - Oscar De La Hoya

"He's an amazing fighter. He's one of the few fighters I've ever seen, like Muhammad Ali - he watches every move his opponent makes, and capitalizes on those mistakes. That's a gift. You can't teach that. Floyd's number one of this era. He's fought the best of this era."

                      - Sugar Ray Leonard

The truth is he's simply the best fighter alive today. All you haters can hate all you want, but you are simply blinded by the truth. And the truth hurts. Even the best know Mayweather is the best. As Hopkins said, it is what it is. Don't hate on what's in front of your face.

Similar quotes were made about Roy Jones when he was P4P #1. I assume you know what happened a couple years later

The fact that there's countless threads of people trying to justify Floyd's greatness proves he's maybe not as great as he's made to be (or can be one day). Sugar Ray had haters back in the day too, but there was no denying his greatness based on the guys he fought and beat in his prime.
