sorry but this part just doesn't make any sense. how is ricky so improved? because he beat paulie? sounds like your the one buying into the hype. as far as pac not being prepared i'm sure they are doing something in camp, and using his past fights( ones he looked in as well as the ones he didn't) as a model, why wouldn't they? he still the same guy, oh ya hes totally different now. they are obviously looking at old fights where pac got kod. the sparring should help pac also cause antillon is a pressure fighter, sorry forgot again hattons a defensive genius now. who is hatton sparring? hope they can match pacs speed or hatton might not be ready. i think this is going to be a great close fight and i hope who ever wins doesn't have to hear any lame excuses.like you said we'll find out may 2.

Hes not vastly improved. Never said he was. But he has improved, and will show more improvement this time around.

He was rated P4P #1 BEFORE he had those two fights. You obviously haven't been following boxing for very long!

you are obviously missin the point for 1 p4p is just oppinion and the point i am makin is that most are asumin he can beat a bigger hatton because of his recent wins over diaz and oscar, no one was screamin manny will beat ricky cotto or floyd until manny beat diaz and oscar

That's like saying Pac hasn't improved because Diaz and DLH weren't real tests. The fact is that Hatton showed more head movement, a better and more consistent jab, and more angles, in that fight than he had done for several years. If you can't see that then you either haven't seen the fight or you're blind. He hadn't improved enough in that fight to be able to beat Pac, but he's got another training camp with Floyd Snr in which to continue that improvement.

His chin looked bad in the 10th round against Lazcano. But I think that was because he was wild and hung his chin out to dry, which he won't do against Pac.

They both have good chins.

You just set yerself up for a fall my friend!!!! Watch Hatton v Urango - Hatton v Maussa - Hatton v Malignaggi and then make comments like not knowing how to fight another way. Some how I seem to get the idea that the majority of people here have only seen Hatton fight once or maybe twice. Ricky Hatton from a very young age was being touted as a world champion and not for his maurading style,, for his footwork, hand speed, intelligence, heart and power. Billy Graham taught Hatton his way of training, and it worked for a while, but now it's time to bring the young Hitman back to the square and show all those Gayweather/Pac-wan tubes who the real entertainer is. Try and have even half of the wars Hatton has had in Europe, most boxers would be destroyed by now.

Those fights did not show how competitive or otherwise he would be against an elite fighter in top condition above 130lb. But they did show that he has carried most of his speed and a lot of his power up as high as 147. He also showed improved boxing skills in those fights, and looked a lot more skilled in those fights than Hatton did against Malignaggi (although Hatton had also improved in that fight).

Given that he was already P4P #1 before those fights, and given that he showed he can carry most of his power and speed up with him, it's logical that he is the favourite against Hatton, even though it's true that he hasn't yet faced any elite competition above 130lb.

Of course that doesn't mean there couldn't be an upset. And it's true that Pac has never had to take body shots as powerful as Hatton's. But it's perfectly logical that Pac is the strong favourite.

As I've said before, Pac has the tools to win with something to spare.

But the nagging question is whether he's fighting too far above his natural weight. The DLH fight proved very little.

A fighter who continues to move up weight divisions (unless he's at HW) MUST eventually hit a point where he's outgunned. We could well see Pac age very quickly against Hatton.
