Mayweathers straight right hand is more deceptive and faster than ANY punch in Pacmans arsenal. Mayweathers straight right is very similar to what hopkins does in the way its thrown and how its received, they are the only two fighters in the game that have that type of lead hand. There is nothing pacman does that is on that level.
With the way you describe it youd swear it was jersey joe pacman out there.Last edited by El Jesus; 04-01-2009, 02:11 AM.Comment

I dont think any real boxing fan questions his skills. I think they just dont like his spoiled little girl attitude.Comment

I would argue different.....and Manny's power is coming from his left. This is something most fighters cant time because they simply aren't use to seeing it as often, and especially not at the speed Pacquiao delivers it.That is a flatout ****ing lie, Mayweathers straight right hand is more deceptive and faster than ANY punch in Pacmans arsenal. You could argue all you want, mayweathers straight right is only rivaled by hopkins in the deceptive setup, excecution and effectiveness. The accuracy is deadly and he also usually falls in after throwing it making it nearly impossible to counter. Again, you could argue all you want, there are only 2 people in the game that can do that and basically not get countered. As good as pacman is, he isnt on that level and never will be. That has no bearing on his ability, but that straight right is something we see only a few times a generation from only the most schooled of practitioners. I know it sounds like im overplaying it but its the truth. Very few people in the history of the sport could throw that punch.Comment

You're still underestimatating the timing of a straight punch coming from the southpaw stance, especially from a fighter of Pacquiao's skill. I would be more than happy to extend the same bet I offered HTown to you if you're game. Straight up says Pac wins. We'll make a gentlemans bet Manny straight left is more effective than Floyds right. You name the wager. Most that know me on here know Im stand up. If Im wrong or lose I'll be happy to pay and say who the wiser man was on that particular night. Not calling you out, because I've always re4spected you opinionb for the most part, Im just confident in my analysis. You could argue all you want, mayweathers straight right is only rivaled by hopkins in the deceptive setup, excecution and effectiveness. Determining that against Hatton is a dubious since he is suscepitble to getting hit, the only way to really determine it is if pac was fighting someone like a mayweather. The way pac sets up, and the way he has looked lately is very much credited to the fact that his last 2 fights were against stationary targets, but someone like hatton isnt a good barometer because like i said, he can be hit and is often times there to be hit. That wouldnt impress me that much at this stage since juan lazcano was able to land big on him also. When mayweather was going to fight Hatton many of us made these claims, either way, Mayweather scored a knockout over hatton, even if Pacman did the same, it wouldnt make a difference, the result would be the same and nobody would be having anything over anyone. You're still underestimatating the timing of a straight punch coming from the southpaw stance, especially from a fighter of Pacquiao's skill.
