Because i seriously dont believe ricky hatton is in his prime at this point. and i also dont believe in investing in triangle theories. I dont think Hatton is shot, but i dont think hes at his best anymore.

        Freddie Roach said the same.

Freddie blamed it on the Mayweather fight.

The dude told you that he got into boxing to take care of his family.

My guess is that very few of these guys who become rich continue to do it for the love of the sport. If that was the case, then Hopkins would be fighting Dawson, and Shane would fight Williams. But they are both saying that they want "the big fights".

Hell, Shane fought a long-ass time at 154, and he is calling out Manny Pacquiao.

That is boxing. It is a business AND a sport. The guys start out as fighters, and become businessmen. All of them.

Ever heard Oscar mention Forrest or Winky?

WAIT - let's clarify by what we mean by "in his prime".

For example, is Floyd "in his prime" physically? Hell no. He has slowed down, etc. But is he in his prime mentally? YES. And he still has enough physical skills to execute what he wants to do.

I believe that Ricky Hatton is "in his prime" mentally, and still has the physical skills to execute what he wants to do. The Mayweather and malignaggi fights taught him alot. From both sides. And he is still young, strong and fast enough to apply those lessons.

Actually the robot has a mouth for Mosley rematch, Clottey, Berto, Margarito and other CURRENT fighters. Eventho its not his style to call ppl out he did in his last fight, right after his loss to Margo he said he wanted a rematch. stop talking out your culo.
