Margarito deserves the punishment that he gets, and a lifetime ban wouldn't be out of the question due to the severity of his actions. Steriods on the part of Mosely are also a disgrace, but as other sports have shown (primarily baseball), they seem to be more tolerated by the general public.
Like Danc1984 said, boxing shouldn't send this kind of message by allowing Margarito back in the ring. Mosely should've been punished as well (it's never too late in my opinion), but it is what it is.
Sports in general need to come down hard on cheating of any kind. Steriod use should be punished automatically with a one-year ban for a first offense, lifetime ban for a second. A more severe offense like loading gloves in boxing, should be much-more severely punished. Five-year ban or a lifetime ban if you want to take it as a case-by-case. Something like this is what all sports need.
