Erik Morales is my favorite fighter of all time, his resume may be a bit better, but I don't feel the need to take anything away from Barrera.

Barrera could have (and should have) cherry picked a guy like Diaz with a bogus title and beaten him. Instead he fought the top 2 fighters back to back.

You look at Morales' fight with Diaz then look at how Barrera performed against Marquez even in defeat. It's obvious who was more game at that stage of their career.

Morales fought well against Diaz and probably deserved the decision.

I don't see the point in bickering over these two. They're both great. Their trilogy was a wash as far as I'm concerned too so...

who were these 2 top fighters he fought back to back..and did marco fight these two in his last two fights at the very end of his career? Cause u DID SEE the two guys that Barrera fought that I mentioned right? Wouldnt that be ummmm..u know..cherry picking? Point is if youre gonna say erik pickin diaz as cherry picking [eriks last fight] then please start talkin about Mabs two fighters before he fought the great amir khan..

Can't we all just get along? Not even Barrera and Morales would argue about this.

I remember him looking slow and sluggish still. Diaz being the right opponent for a fading fighter.
