Marco Barrera's "Longevity" over Erik Morales IS NOT as impressive as u may think..

Though Barrera won the decision in the close trilogy Most will certainly agree that Erik fought and defeated more quality fighters..But Barrera fans will say that Marco had longer Career..

Morales Last Fight - August 2007-Most thought Erik shouldve won and got his fourth title..

Barrera since then - A Loss to Pacquiao..Wins over a nobody Sammy Ventura..Freudis Rojas (1-7-1) and an asskicking from Amir Khan of all people.

    Is that, THAT impressive??

You dont think so? Ok lets quickley go back another 4 fights..

Barrera-A Loss to Marquez..2 Wins over Rocky Juarez, Robbie Peden..

Morales-loss to Barrera..Wins over Pacquiao,Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez

    What do u guys think?

      I think you're right.

Both need to fight eachother one more time or hang it up for good.

I'm most certain Morales is done and knows it whereas Marco is still trying to prove hes better than his rival by getting a title in that fourth weightclass.

Its not going to happen though.

But then again, he just might be broke and need the money.

I think that both are great fighters and it's hard for me to say for sure which one was greater. IMO Morales is the greater fighter, but they are about tied in terms of accomplishments.

Either way I don't really think you can pick on one or the other. The both had great careers and deserve respect from everyone.

God, I hope that's not the case.

As big a Marco fan as I am, I have to agree with you on him not winning that 4th world title : As much as I'd love to see him do it.

If he really is broke, that's pretty damn tragic. And Don King won't help his financial matters.

I think your talking ****, Barrera was a world champion years before Morales hit the scene, i'm a big fan of both but to say that Erik fought better competition is a joke, they have both fought the best available.
As for the Marquez bout, if the knockdown had been scored correctly Marco may have came away with the win or draw.

Barrera has his own business so I dont think about the money. It more like Rocky Balboa wanting the last chance to prove something to the world.

I going with Barrera is abit better that Morales. He came bouncing back up from many deafts. many fighters when one defeated happens screws them up completely.

The 3rd fight Morales didnt want to fight anymore. If you hear the pre-commentator about the fight Morales was doing everything wrong and didt really fough like he usally fight.

The only actully meaningful win after the 3rd Barrera fight for him was against Pac first fight.

Because barrera has more names i think u be a little confused..If u want however theres a video of Morales/Barrera top 15 wins..And i can do a poll someday soon on who has the better resume..I also dont think that Barrera has the longevity "advantage" like how i originally thought either..
