He was on dancing with the stars and his fight with Hatton did 875 thousand buys. I guarantee Pacquioa-Hatton won't do over 700 thousand. Floyd is a star now and right now he will do bigger numbers than anybody in the sport in the US market.
So, let's just say this rumor about him having a serious shoulder injury were true. Do you not cut him any slack at all for letting that heal so that he could participate in these major events at 100% or at least close to it rather than just fight because people like you want to see the fight NOW and don't give two ****s if he's healthy enough to be fighting?

It doesnt matter if WE appreciate his style because we're hardcore fans because we don't keep the sport in the mainstream, casual fans are the reasons fights are on PPV and when you promise an all action fight with a climatic ending and you step in the ring and do absolutely the opposite, then you got a lot of pissed off customer who aren't satisfied with their service.

Proof of this was the 1.7 million peolple that DIDNT buy Hatton/Mayweather. Fights like Hopkins/Wright and Mayweather/De La Hoya/Baldomir shouldn't be PPV fights.
Floyd aint boxed in 2 years.

PPVS like Cotto v. Jennings......is whats KILLING the sport.

that's my beef with him.. and that's why I'll never be a fan of his.
the writer of this article almost completely expressed my views on Mayweather.
he has let us down, turned his back on us, and acts like an ungrateful little bastard child.
when the whole U.S.A. was watching, he turned his back on boxing and gave us the finger..
How you can say you love boxing and be a Mayweather fan is beyond me.
Fans of his aren't fans of the sport.. They are just fans of him.

          "tag, you're it".

Casual fans get turned on by prefight hype, and when they feel lied to and cheated out of their monies,

          they don't return.

The common line after he beat DLH, "I'll never pay to see that guy fight again".

          and most didn't.
that is so funny because it's true.. I heard lots of people say that and the numbers for Hatton v. Mayweather showed it. There weren't many returning customers.

Anyone would have hurt DLH that night. Mayweather would have K.O'd him

Pre-Madonna? Didn't he mean prima donna? Or has he made up a new word?

Mayweather had his night to KO Oscar and he didn't and considering Manny Pacquiao's small size I would say Oscar's condition leveled the playing field out to how Mayweather fought him.
