Why does Floyd get the blame for the Cotto fight never happening?

Cotto is not a legacy building opponent.

After the Mosley fight, yes that would have built Floyd's legacy. It's absurd to think otherwise.

Floyd would have beaten the recognized #1 contender, an undefeated fighter in his prime who was held in VERY high regard by the boxing world coming off of a great win over a HOF. Yes, that would have cemented Floyd's legacy very well. People always say he has unfinished business at WW....if he would have fought Cotto people wouldn't say that.

I just hate this Cotto didn't actively pursue. He said he wanted to fight him, he made that clear several times. But because he didn't go further than that it's like "oh clearly he didn't want it because he didn't call Floyd a *****". ****'s ridiculous.
