If we don't have a lame ass ref, we can hope for a fight that goes the distance. That ref in Jones last fight was a ****head, you're suppose to only stop the fight if the opponent is seriously hurt or stunned. And Omar was neither, he was getting a spanking by roy, but you don't stop fights because their one sided, sheika looked fine taking his ass-whooping like a man.

I wanted the fight to go on too, but really what would it have achived? Omar was taking shots and had not landed anything meaningfull for about 2 rounds. He could do nothing to prevent getting hit either. His brain would have been scrambled eggs had he kept taking that kind of punishment very much longer.

Sometimes the ref has to make a decision and save a fghter from their own heart and this was just another clasic example.

We all know its not in Roys nature to fight the best, so Kessler is out of the question. But couldnt he at least fight a Bika or somebody worthwhile.

When has he looked good fighting REAL opponents in there prime? KESSLER.... yes yes yes and yes, Hopkins? Too close that he wont even give him a rematch. I forgot though, Joe only gave a rematch to Mario Veit (TKO'ed him in the 6th, and in there first fight he TKO'ed him in the first). Risky rematch...... Anyone else in the past 5 plus years that wasn't a BS fight? Peter Manfredo, he was a Prime fighter. good call!

So don't call this a BS fight when you JUST said Joe "whooped" them both.... Joe also beat Shieka by a head butt.....

Is it a great fight? hell no... Its a fight that people who enjoy the sport will watch even if its not live or pay for it.

Roy's old but not shot to **** and what ever happens wont change the fact he was "THE P4P KING" and did something no one in a hundred plus years could/didn't do.... fact. Like someone else says "who doesn't look shot compared to a PRIME Roy"!

Don't get me wrong, Joe is good....... and I give him credit where credit is due. But this isn't about him He's "retired" and got out of the game before he lost the only thing making him something special IMO, his "0". He's really smart, not great. no hate.

I'd enjoy this fight, RJJ has looked good in two of the three fights his had in the last twelve months. I wouldn't pay to watch it though.

This is a very interesting fight.

The worry is Jones puts HIMSELF on the ropes. That gives Lacy a chance in itself.
