This is more of the same steamy pile of dung that we've been fed during the years. Let me say something clear first.... if this was a regular paid cable fight (HBO/SHO) there would be nothing wrong with it. But if this ever gets made... well folks get ready for an over hyped PPV show with a worthless undercard.
Fighters nowadays don't even try the hide the fact that it's all about money... hell even I know that no one fights for the love of it, they have to get pay... but the compensation should be equal to the level and caliber of opposition, the meaning or worth of the fight and the fan based each fighter has. So let's see, the figth will be between two former champions, that have lost their last true challenge and are past their prime with a small fan base. Is that worth our price... dishing out 49.99 + activiation fee!
Well folks, just imagine if the Yankees could have the luxury of picking with whom they are going to play next! Even if its a AAA or AA team and then they get to charge you to watch the game at home....!

Yeah... the fight intrigues be a bit.. Lacy isnt an elite fighter but hes young, strong, and better than Sheika... and has a name... I dont mind this fight at all...
and being that Jermain JUST got done fighting Jeff... it would give us a better idea of how Roy COULD do against Jermain... should he choose to do that...Comment

I've never liked Roy jones & I think at this point all the dancing he did vs sheika would be better suited for the show dancing with the stars.lacy hasn't been too good the last few years either.I think lacy lifts to much weights & has lost all his speed.he looks like a bodybuilder nor a boxer.both being from Florida I think it's good for their local fans thou & should have a sold out show giving both guys a nice fat paycheck.I'm not sure if either guy has much left.jones is old & lacy is to muscular & robotic.his lads are so huge he doesn't even look like he can wipe his own ass let alone throw that left hook.Comment

and you don't think most every fight (other than Kessler and the overly "european/american press" hyped Lacy) for the past lets say 4-5 years wasn't BS from Joe? lol How come he was never P4P king?
When has he looked good fighting REAL opponents in there prime? KESSLER.... yes yes yes and yes, Hopkins? Too close that he wont even give him a rematch. I forgot though, Joe only gave a rematch to Mario Veit (TKO'ed him in the 6th, and in there first fight he TKO'ed him in the first). Risky rematch...... Anyone else in the past 5 plus years that wasn't a BS fight? Peter Manfredo, he was a Prime fighter. good call!
So don't call this a BS fight when you JUST said Joe "whooped" them both.... Joe also beat Shieka by a head butt.....
SO how is Jones vs Lacy a BS fight? This is the same guy Joe fought minus all the over hyped "MINI" Mike BS........
Is it a great fight? hell no... Its a fight that people who enjoy the sport will watch even if its not live or pay for it.
Roy's old but not shot to **** and what ever happens wont change the fact he was "THE P4P KING" and did something no one in a hundred plus years could/didn't do.... fact. Like someone else says "who doesn't look shot compared to a PRIME Roy"!
Don't get me wrong, Joe is good....... and I give him credit where credit is due. But this isn't about him He's "retired" and got out of the game before he lost the only thing making him something special IMO, his "0". He's really smart, not great. no hate.
