of course i give manny his props if he knocks hatton out...i do believe manny is the best in the world p4p....and have lots of respect for de la hoya too...and manny has beaten lots of future hall of famers, making manny a sure thing for the hall of fame, i didnt even think right now hatton gets in the hall of fame at the moment...thats why hes looking for signature wins...i just think all the critcs that said about manny before the de lahoya fight, about how oscar is the bigger guy, people afterwards were like oh i guess that doesnt matter anymore, then it all comes back to roost in this fight...when we see how live hatton is in the ring....but much respect for the accomplismnets of manny, just i think hes biting off too much here...could be wrong
Are we overestimating Pacquiao's Power Shots at 140?

de la hoya was a flat footed had no movement what so ever that night...and hatton could have knocked him out quicker than pac did that night....but what is he going to do when he faces hatton's foot speed....and hatton is not afraid to trade shots....just my opinion but if it turns into a full scale war, not holding which some of the hatton critics will think, but just trading shots back and forth....i like hatton's power much more over pacs....thats what leads me to a late round ko for hatton if it goes this route....power vs power= hatton victory....pac is going to have to out box him and stay in the middle of the ring
This is mostly why I am picking Hatton. I was picking Pac but rewatched the PBF-Hatton fight and damn Hatton is fast. Not just hands but in movement. He got right back inside so fast after each break that PBF could only get off a shot or 2 before he was inside again. Now PBF showed a great inside game and some tricks in there, but does Pac have the inside game to compete with Hatton? Pac seems to like his distance and without his explosiveness his power is greatly diminished.
Hatton made some terrible mistakes in the PBF fight like going straight in with no headmovement at all. I expect May sr. to make some slight tweaks and make him very effective. He aint going to change his style completely and it would be a huge mistake to try and box with Pac like he did with Paulie, but if he picks the right strategy I got Hatton by stoppage.Comment

yea hypothetical....but he turned down the de la hoya fight because it would have had to been at welterweight...and i dont think hatton will dare go back to welter...and of course de la hoya knew this and thought it might make him look like he still had the magic...also too de la hoya just loves the big draw these days...and hatton de la hoya sell the most tickets...hatton is in his prime and wants to fight only the elite fighters....no shame if he loses to both mayweather or pac...he only gets beat by the best, but i dont see him losing to pac at 140
I ain't buying it. Hatton talks a lot of crap sometimes.
At 147, let's look at who he's fought:
Collazo = southpaw
Mayweather = true elite fighter
Both gave him problems. He doesn't get on with elite fighters. He doesn't do well against southpaws. Pacquiao is both.

Bull**** so what if Pac didn't put DLH down!Before that ****!n' fight all of you didn't expect Manny to win that way against Oscar and now you're bitching that he can't knock him down...PBF,Mosley,Trinidad didn't floor him and you're expecting a midget who went up 2 divisions to KO him in a brutal way...Oscar's face was messed up and the guy quit on his stool,what do you want more?
I hope Manny will rip Hatton's face badly and give him a total beating so all of you can STFU...Comment

i just keep hearing from pac fans and fans picking pac, that hatton will get ko'd by pac...i just dont see it happening when he couldnt even knock down de la hoya....i think once pac trys to come flying in with the pwer left and hatton catches him, it will be along night for pac...people are over playing pac's powerComment

See, this is the funny thing. Hatton says "I'm massive at Jr. Welterweight", but yet he's too small for Welterweight and comes in at 152 pounds?

If Ricky is underestimating Pac's Power...well good for him..he'll taste it on May 2..Comment

ok people are underestimating collazo, he took andre berto to the limit, and some had him beating berto....luis collazo is no slouch, and hatton took his belt...people are saying hatton doens't belong at the top tier in the world...they said the samething before he beat kosta tzyu in a classic
As for the Kostya Tszyu win, I was pretty disgusted at the way Hatton fought. If he tries the same strategy with a ref who won't stand for it, he's getting points taken off.
