Are we overestimating Pacquiao's Power Shots at 140?

Look i keep hearing in the forum that pac has this deadly power, that hatton won't be able to respond to...i give pac credit he has dominate power at 130 and below...and lets look at his 2 fights about 130, david diaz, which nobody would consider an elite lightweight in the world...then theres pac vs de la hoya.....he NEVER! knockdown de la hoya or ko'd him he quit because he was being overwhelmed......de la hoya was dead at 147 and way past his prime....do you really think pac is going to be able to knockout the best fighter at 140 in the world that will be a very live fighter that night unlike de la hoya was against pac....I think were overestimating the pac power at 140 or against any elite live fighter above 130....

    what you guys think?

Pacs power may not be greater than Hattons but he is a lot faster. Accumulation can take its toll. Hatton needs to work the body, that is his only chance.

he may not have tszyu kind of power, but his punches do make opponents step back n thats usually good enough to beat hatton since hatton don't know how to fight going backwards..

I'de say their raw power is in the same ballpark but Manny can land some jarring shots when he lunges in behind them with his whole body. I'm pulling for the guy with faster feet and straighter punches.

btw that is a great sig. Angulo is a bad mothe****er

David diaz may not be the best lightweight out there then but his chin is definitely above average, with regards to Oscar i think we all can agree he has one of the better chins in boxing today so just the fact that pacs punches made Oscar hesitated proved Pac has still has some decent power in the lightwelterweight to welterweight area. I dont think pacs punches overrated.nobody is saying he still has that one punch power. Its the speed, accumulation, that wins it for him in the higher weights.imo
