Exactly, "I'm going to massacre him".

Thats why we like when boxers talk with their fists and not their mouths.

Personally it wouldn't surprise me if Floyd took it easy on DLH by not throwing much, so he could get another payday.

I think DLH had a lot more left then he did in the Pacquiao fight. His reactions were much better.

And the threadstarter already outlined why that was so.

Floyd threw 1 and 2 punches at a time whereas Manny threw 3-4 in succession.

So, with basic math, what is easier to look better against?

The guy who throws one or two punches at a time, the one who rips 3 to 5 shots at a time?

just think how ****** your statement is.

how can floyd, in the biggest fight of his career, the fight that turned out to be the most successful PPV in boxing history, decided to stay in "second gear"?

I seen the fight too and one of floyd's weaknesses is he cant finght on the inside...the best moments for de la hoya was when he was fighting mayweather on the ropes or on the inside....hatton would have done better but cortez sucks so bad as a ref...and its not just that fight cortez last couple performances have been bad......

I think you really cant compare the 2 fights of dela hoya vs pacman, de la hoya vs mayweather....all 3 guys had different strategies in each fight and style....i do think pac was just better at his game plan....keeping his distance....i think both hatton and mayweather would eat him alive

lol. I found that funny too. Even though I stated he could have done more if he put his foot on the pedal, he was beyond second gear.

But thats how Floyd stans are, always trying to pump up Mayweather in any way possible.

They love to give more value to his engine than it already has. All we heard from Floyd prior to that fight was how he was going to absolutely destroy DLH.

              He failed where Manny succeeded.

Manny's a great fighter and deserves credit but Oscar was a slow, weak, inactive man the night he beat him.

Plus Floyd won easily enough against DLH. How one judge scored it for Oscar is beyond me. He won on points against a man weighing almost a stone more than him on fight night. Manny weighed more than Oscar in their fight come fight night.
please... floyd is naturally bigger than pac (by naturally bigger, i mean he fought in higher weight class than pac). remember he said how he would murder dlh? it turned out to be a sparring match.

you know the difference between pacquiao and mayweather?

Mayweather's greatness is based on what he could have done
Pacquiao's greatness is based on what he did

mayweather, with all his talent could have been the greatest ever.
pacquiao, with all his flaws could have been another hype job.

                  guess who accomplished more?

There is nothing i have said in this thread that has anything to do with "pumping up" floyds win any more than what it was. lol @ you equating my appreciation for floyd to the level of being a "stan". Think what you want. Also take into account the person you are agreeing with, i can see what side of the spectrum you sit on if you think somehow aether is providing some kind of insight that we dont already know, followed his name calling.
