Oscar's jab was absolutely non-existant in his fight with Pacquiao. And that had nothing to do with Pacquiao.

Did i say oscar was whooped by floyd? Why are you creating an argument out of nothing. Floyd beat oscar without ever kicking it up into any kind of second gear was all i said.

that notion is just as ******ed as someone using a cheap ass celica as a username and sig

it was well documented that negating Oscar's jab was the primary key...and the fact that PAC continously moved to his right and turned Oscar at every chance had nothing to do with it? riiiiiiight

i know it does. but it actually has less to do with the outcome of the fight than you would want it to be. it was more on their styles. pacquiao did allow de la hoya to get his rhythm. that's why he seemed like he was not punching.

oscar being weight drained is pure bull-****.

i kinda agree with the thread starter. weight definitely affected Oscar. but not as much as a lot of people are claiming.

its kinda funny how no one gave pacquiao a chance, and now people are making all this dumb-**** excuses. pac was supposed to get killed remember?

Well, the DLH that fought Floyd was already old and past his prime too. Now that I've gotten a chance to see DLH's fights with Floyd & PAC back to back, I'm even more convinced that being weight drained wasn't really the issue, but more the styles of PAC & Floyd is what dictated on how DLH was gonna look.

The biggest difference between DLH against Floyd was that he was a lil busier with the jab, whereas when he fought PAC, he simply had no jab.

The fact that DLH was able to throw some jabs and flurries at Floyd had more to do with the fact that Floyd, as most of us know, is a "stand in the pocket" kind of guy who has great upper body movement, Floyd likes to be cute, and it gave DLH opportunities, not that DLH created opportunities.

The biggest difference that I saw between PAC & FLoyd, was how Floyd ,even though he easily potshotted DLH, but he really only threw 1-2's and then stopped and moved out, whereas PAC, would throw 3-4 punch combinations.

If you guys watch the videos again, you would see that whenever Floyd would throw 1-2's at DLH, DLH would freeze, Floyd could've added 2-3 more punches after he landed his jab - straight, but he decided to dance away, Floyd could'vd put on the same ass kickin' on DLH like PAC if he would've pressured Hoya more!

The moral of the story is, it wasn't so much DLH putting on a better performance against Floyd, it was the difference in styles of the puppet masters(PAC & Floyd).
i agree with everything but oscar did look worst in the forbes fight than he did in the floyd fight and he looked worst in the paquiao fight than he did in the forbes fight he looked like he was out of sync.there's a couple rounds in the paquiao fight where you see oscar trying to loosin up and get the bounce in his step
