Mosely would probably put Berto's lights out anyway. Berto should be relieved Mosley doesn't want the fight.

So mosleys ducking berto..to fight smaller guys right
Watch it bud.... Mosley is no ducker!

DLH, Mayorga, Vargas, WINKY (could have easily said no yet he did this one twice), Forrest, Collazo, Margarito, Cotto, and Judah (until he tried to shadowbox in the shower and messed that up)..

He easily has the most respect when it comes to going to war against ANYONE. I'm a huge Sugar fan. Some people even have him as p4p.

I want to see the Berto fight BADLY because I think he is the future... but realistically Shane wouldn't make much money off of this one because Berto hasn't "arrived" yet and it would contradict the intentions he has of making huge bucks. Lets not get it twisted and think Shane is scared of losing because he took the Cotto loss like a true professional and always givs props to his opponents. He doesn't have an undefeated record or anything like that so wuts the guy have to lose? Definately not respect... He deserves the spotlight after that Margarito blasting! Personally... I would like to see Shane v Paul Williams! Also we never got to see Mosley v Trinidad... Those 2 were at welter for years and never seemed to get caught in the same building together. I think Trinidad is a great pick because he is a brand name and has alot of followers in PR and would bring lots of money. He lost to Roy but I thought he looked very sharp in that loss... Roy just seemed way bigger. Only problem is that Tito is being hypnotized into thinking he is a super-middle weight. What do you guys think about Shane v Tito??

Mosley shouldnt wait a year to fight

I believe its a bad idea for Mosley to sit around and wait for his next fight either against Pacquiou or Hatton. I also dont feel that Berto should be his next fight. Berto's next fight should be a rematch against Collazo! Shane needs to fight to stay active and stay in the public eye and to build on the momentum that he has gained from the Margarito victory. He says he only wants big fights and thats cool, but waiting around for a year for a big fight may not be whats best for right now in his career. Waiting a year could mean he could have trouble making 147 at that point. We saw what happened with Nate Campbell when he hadnt fought for almost a whole year because of that Guzman cancellation. He couldnt make 135 when he had to to face Ali Funkea. Shane could now face a Zab Judah or a Kermit Cintron type of fighter who is a former champion with some name recognition until the Pacman/Hatton winner is decided. I really dont think Pacman or Hatton will want to fight Shane anyways. That winner will be looking to fight Marquez next.

if shane does decide to not wait around until a big fight happens he should stick to fighting mexicans.

He actually admitted that on HBO after his fight with Mayorga.History has not been kind to older experienced fighters matched up against young fast handed skillfull opponents. For example, Ray Leonard vs Terry Norris.Leonard got destoyed that night because, what he was famous for, this young hungry lion was simply better at it at that stage of his career.Berto throws blazing fast punches from the 1st round to the 12th.No older fighter wants to deal with that. His experience would keep him from getting knocked out,but it wouldn't win him the fight.
Make sense to a degree but if a Berto/Mosley fight was to be announced I would pick Molsey any day of the week. If people think Andre Berto would give Shane Mosley a run for his money or Shane thinks Berto is too much of a risk then I would hate to see what Floyd Mayweather would do to Mosley.

I dont think you understood my post....
Had Cotto took on a top 5 or 10 guy immediately after his loss, it would have answered a lot of questions regarding his mental state....fighting a pushover like jennings did nothing for us.....Jennings was a patsy. I admire Cotto for taking on Clottey who i consider the most feared man of the division. He called out PWill, Marg, Shane, and Cotto..I think its going to be one hell of a fight, technical to begin with but its going to end in a war....
