Can we let Froch get through a couple of title defenses against world class opposition before declaring his chin uncrackable?

Obviously it's good but plenty of guys go a long time without going down or getting KO'd only to have their chins fail them against a quality opponent (case and point: my avatar ).

Froch's been hit hard and walked through it, but he's yet to face anyone who can really test him and possibly punish him.

We will see. IMO Taylor is never a SMW. Froch is huge for 12st. And super fit. In his fight v Pascal he had a cracked rib and bust ear drum going into the fight.

I think he will be too big and strong for Taylor, who has struggled to beat welterweights.

I know a guy who has spared with Froch and Kessler, he says Froch is far better and hits far harder. I kno its only sparring, we shall see.

Pascal would beat Taylor IMO.

You're kidding yourself if you think Taylor won't fit at SMW; he and Froch are roughly the same size. He was always a big MW. I think you'll be surprised when you see them face to face in April.

The only smaller fighters Taylor struggled to beat were Wright and Spinks, who were both legitimate champions at 154, and both slick southpaws. It shows a massive double standard for you to criticize Taylor for those tough defenses when Froch, in your mind, is facing a smaller, slicker fighter who was a champion at a lower weight in his first defense. If Froch has a tough time with Taylor but wins, are you going to hold him to the same standard and take him to task for struggling to beat a middleweight? No - you're going to be fighting his girlfriend for a spot on his sack.
