  • I say he fights JMM as a tune up on July 11 at 145.

And Paquiao or Mosley(if hatton wins) in December of 2009.

That should solidify hiom as p4p for the decade and top 20 ATG for sure.

lets put it this way all the TOP rated fighters at WW Mayweather has never considered ever since hes been at 147. Instead he fights RIcky hatton a natural 140lber and a completely shot DLH who pacquaio a natural 130-135lber destroyed

I wouldnt like to see it. I know Floyd Marquez will be pretty boring as most floyd fights are. I dont get it, I watch Mayweather fights and have a hard time trying to stay awake. IF he can manage to make Ricky Hatton boring at times than I have no interest in watching this guy fight Marquez

It was an HBO interview with Mosley at the time of the second Vargas fight - it used to be on youtube for ages but has been taken down for some reason. But given the fact that Mosley was a GBP partner and DLH wanted to fight Mayweather, I think he may have just been saying obtusely that Oscar took precedence over him.

Now you're showing yourself up as an irrational hater - DLH was arguably shot (and weight drained) against Pac, but he was nowhere near shot against Mayweather - Oscar fought very well in that fight, although he was past his prime.

              • I like how everyone ignored what BPP said about Arum likely not being able to afford a mayweather fight and barely scraping 150k in PPV buys for both pavlik/cotto. And barely having the money for a pacman/hatton fight. You guys have been arguing page after page and act as if that post never happened. It pretty much answered the question right there.

                • truth hurts and the truth is Money May just wants to keep his "0". anyone threatening his perfect record is not worth it for Floyd. that's why i love Pac and Marquez so much right now. so much for not fighting anyone at ww, now he's faced with challenges from two of the best fighters in the world. fights that only would add to the other fighters lagacy, and not his own.

should of fought Cotto before Margarito whooped him Floyd. oh well.

                  • I posted a thread about JMM vs Mayweather at 147 2 weeks ago and almost got banned. After This fight is confirmed I feel like doing this to those haters

                    • rubbish.

it's always been about the money. Why the hell would Floyd fight Hatton, when the fans obviously wanted to see him face Cotto or Margarito?

boxing fans have been wanting that fight for awhile now, and STILL Floyd continues to ignore the fans.

talks of rematches with ODLH and Hatton?

20 mill for a comeback fight?

im sorry Floyd, but isn't the opinion of the majority of boxing fans a GOOD ENOUGH reason to go ahead and atleast talk about making these fights possible?

                      whats with all the excuses?
