This is what I think about Floyd.

I don't question Floyds skills, I think he is a great fighter with great skills and very smart guy. My only problem with Floyd is that he doesn't back up his talk and his so call p4p claim, with the best fighters out there, if I was Floyd with all does skills, I will fight the best and nothing but the best, because my skills are better and there is nobody that can outbox me, I will want my money, but money wont be in my way of taking that guy out to prove that he is nothing and I'm the best ever, but if I think that with my skills I know that fighting some specific guys will put my 0 and career in question, then I just make up all the excuses because I know that I have a lot of fans that think I'm the best ever and they wont question me or my skills, plus the ones that are right about their comments about me loosing to some, wont ever see that day because I already retired and if I come back, is just for the fights I know I can win and if I need to fight the ones I don't want (or I'm scared of) I blame the money issue and then retired again. I'm so smart.

from a certain skewed perspective that is feasible, but floyd called out every boxer that people today want floyd to fight (cotto, mosley, etc..) but none of them wanted to fight floyd at the time he called them out.

I'm not trying to excuse floyd from fighting them (i wanna see those fights), but some of you more level headed posters need to put things into the overall perspective.

        Agreed.

It's unfortunate for people's perception of him that he retired when he did, though, without defending his lineal Welterweight title against at least one meaningful contender first, but what you say is true.

Some Floyd fans go much too far when defending him though, by saying "why should he fight so and so", which just gets everyone's back up. The point is that he claims he's already an ATG, and to be considered an ATG you have to fight the best.

dude give it up Floyd has never called out Cotto or Mosley anytime.

He has never fought them because both Floyd and his team know they dont have a big chance of winning.

that is unfortunate, but floyd had to cash in on dlh and hatton asap. hopefully floyd will fight mosley or cotto in the near future.

Some Floyd fans go much too far when defending him though, by saying "why should he fight so and so", which just gets everyone's back up.
yeah, hardcore floyd fans need to give this line of thinking up.

The point is that he claims he's already an ATG, and to be considered an ATG you have to fight the best.
well, floyd is already an ATG, but the best should always fight the best regardless of ATG status or not.

floyd has been calling out mosley since he was fighting at 130 and mosley was at 135. floyd also wanted to fight mosley before the dlh fight and mosley turned him down saying he had a toothache from the vargas fight.

floyd called cotto out at 140, but cotto or should i say arum ducked him.

before floyd's retirement, both were underdogs against floyd.

Floyd once stated he wants to fight Mosley and Mosley claimed he had bad tooth ache.

sure keep living in your floyd fantasy world, bottomline is that everyone floyd has fought is 2nd rate at the time he fought them. He has never taken a challenge like Cotto or mosley or even williams
