We can really go all over the place with this question, but generally speaking someone who regularly works on a heavybag will have more punching power than an "average guy", who does no work-out routine at all. I felt though when I stopped weight training and resumed boxing training including heavybag that my punching power went down because I lost a considerable amount of weight due to other things that go along with boxing, so body mass does play a factor and using the heavy bag does not necessarily mean one will be able to punch harder than someone who does not.

i dont think it matters..i think its more ur born with a strong punch or not..some ppl never trained but in streetfights they knock ppl out big time..i think its better to punch the makiwara board(karate board) with bare knuckles if u wanna do more damage to someone.but i dont know 100% thats just my opinion.
