trying to prove my friend wrong..he's fat and thinks cause he weighs alot he automaticaly has power..and says hitting the bag doesnt improve power
does someone who hits a heavybag everyday have more power than the average guy??

Yes it does. I remember hearing George Foreman would hit the heavy back for more then an hour and look at him, some people consider him the hardest punching H.W -

Hitting the bag improves both your technique and knowledge of how to transfer your body movement/weight into actual power, so if you were to ask me if someone who hits a bag often has more power in his shots than a similar person who doesn't, then I'd say yes.Comment

I'd say no in terms of the actual power of your punch, so that's why I voted no, but with actual technique while hitting on the bag, then yes.
But like if I hit the big 100 times in a row, I'm not gonna get stronger. However throwing punches and punches actually does help make you stronger, but that's just from the snap of the punches over and over.Comment
