So basically, if someone had shot Warren a few weeks ago, meaning that the court case had to be cancelled, then Big Mac would've had a better chance of winning?

    Interesting.

I think it was a mixture of things for Macc.

        - Enzo not properly training him.

        - Not watching a tape of his opponent until the day before the fight.

        - Greatly underestimating his opponent.

        - Wrong tactics for the fight, If he had seen the fields fight, his fight turned out pretty much the same. Afolabi's style is something you have to train for, you can't just go in and blast him out, he has to be outboxed.

No sparring ahead of a bro bout? Especially with his recognition? What the **** were they playing at?! I know Enzo Calzaghe might have been tied up with the court case or whatever but that is no excuse he should have given him a sparring partner, and if Enzo Macc. didn't speak up about it then he should of because sparring at his level is extremely important.

**** even Charlie Zellenoff has managed to do a bit of sparring prior to his fight, I am not just going to blame Calzaghe Sr. or Enzo Macc... because I dunno who is to blame, but all I am going to say is sparring ahead of a professional bout is extremely important especially at his level.

Interesting stuff man, and does make sense. Enzo Calzaghe is a good trainer in terms of bringing the best out of people. If he's not around then he can't even do that. Plus he's a poor defensive trainer too imo. All these things do show in all Enzo's guys losing.

I find it amazing at this level, that Enzo Calzaghe could be so out of tune with what his fighters up to leading up to a fight. Did he even know Enzo Mac had not sparred hardly at all? If so that's criminal.

Furthermore, surely even Frank Warren has enough to do with his fighters that he drops round once and a while, see's how they're getting on.

It looks terrible and very un professional for all involved.

One thing though, as much as Warren has a point, it's rich him going on about the court case when he's largely caused that and that will effect the trainer and the gym. Warren should think about that.

I find it very hard to believe that any pro, especially one who is near to the top of the division would get in the ring without a single round of sparring under his belt.

If true its completely unproffesional and it has cost him his career. At least on the big stage anyway.

Enzo Calzaghe is responsible for gettin' his fighters prepared to fight......last night his fighters didn't look prepared......he makes the trainer of the year award seem like a overrated plaque......his LUCKY STREAK is over and now we see the real quality of this trainer.
