Worst thing you can do with a guy like Ola's style is to become preoccupied with hitting him, when you miss, because that is what that style is based upon. James Toney has done it for years. His opponent misses one shot so they try and follow up with another shot, and they end up standing in punching range swinging away and missing whilst simultaneously getting countered.
The way to fight that style is to keep the range/distance and use the jab. Jones jr/ Oquendo/Rahman executed perfectly by pecking away at Toney from the outside. Even though Rahman did not get the decision, he did win the fight imo. I know Jones did not use the jab, but he kept that distance.Comment
