Barrera: "They Should Have Stopped it in The First"

Barrera wasn't going to quit, I give him props for that. The officials had four rounds to stop the fight, it was total bull****.
The point is if they were going to stop the fight it should have been in the first, since they didn't it shouldn't have had been stopped at all. Only four rounds passed anything could have happened.Comment

barrera' s cut is one of the worst if not the worst i have ever seen and if the fight was in the u.s you can be sure that the fight does not go to the 5thI'm sorry, but that really is crap. It's not 'funny' in the least; it's not remotely unusual for a doctor to let it go the first time it is referred to him but to stop it (whether the fighter wants it or not) the second time. When a doctor is referred to a second time again it usually IS in the next round or shortly afterwards. When has anyone ever seen a doctor look at an injury in the fourth, let it go, have it referred to him again six rounds later and THEN stop it? It just doesn't happen.. in the UK, US or anywhere else.Comment

And why might it be that Barrera was having trouble finding his range? Could it have had anything to do that he had no depth perception because he only had one eye?Comment

Khan ever beating Prescott is simply unrealistic. Khan could have the skills and the defense of Pernell Whitaker, and he would still lose. You can't go a whole fight without getting tagged, and Khans chin simply isnt good enough to handle getting tagged by a puncher like Prescott.
Hes still got the same crappy chin, that will never change. He simply can't take what Prescott has to offer. In case you forgot, Prescott HURT Khan with a jab. If you are going to get hurt by jabs, you are in serious trouble.Comment

errmmm... no.
Barrera still has some fight in him and if you watch the first minute and a half of the fight, you can see that. Judging either Khan or Barrera from last night is pretty much impossible because of what happened. But I know for certain Khan would NOT have KO'd Barrera, even with the cut..Comment

Even though Barrera showed signs of being a sore loser saying that they should of stopped it earlier, though he had the chance in round 4 I believe to throw the fight into a NC, I do feel sorry for him because has a legit loss from something so unfortunate.
I feel for Barrera.Comment

Agree with you. Barrera does not go down easily, and I don't believe Khan hits hard enough to put him on the canvas for a 10 count.errmmm... no.
