He went into Margarito's comfort zone and beat him up. You are correct that he did not employ the same style that Cotto attempted, but if Cotto had tried to do what Mosley did, he would have been stopped earlier. Fact is, Mosley has a better chin, is faster and has more heart. I am just dissapointed that he put on a lackluster performance against Cotto in the first place.

I dont know if Mosley has a better chin. I wonder how he'd look if he was hammered with bricks for 10 rounds. Personally I wouldn't use the Margarito-fight to gauge anything regarding Cotto since that win is highly su****ious following the wrapping disgrace.

Mosley had little energy, and tried to outbox Cotto and shyed away from his unique style of boxing and slugging utilizing his speed. I would favor Mosley in a rematch, but that is just me.

I hate to have to explain this to you because you should have understood the post, but he is saying that you cannot say that fighter A beat Fighter B and fighter C beat fighter A so fighter C will beat fighter A.

He couldnt even outbox the slow, plodding Margarito, something Williams and Mosley were both able to do.
Fact is, he doesnt have the speed, agility, footwork or defense to hang with a fighter the caliber of Floyd.

By the way, any "styles make fights!" posts will be dismissed with a massive LOL, considering these posters are assuming Cotto is going to be agressive and try and bully Floyd, which is exactly what Floyd would want him to do, and he would pick him apart and stop him accordingly.

My reasoning is that Cotto does not have the boxing ability to hang with Floyd. He does not have the footwork, speed, agility or defense to beat Floyd and this was displayed in the Margarito fight. if he cannot outbox Tony, a slow, plodding predictable fighter, he has no shot against Floyd.

a legitimate point. However, I was not using the fight as a whole, or even the end result as a reason why he could not beat FLoyd. The fight was a prime example of his true boxing ability, and he is severly lacking in several capacities where you need to excel in order to hang with Mayweather.
