De La Hoya/Quartey was awful. "Oscar's jab is much better, much sharper." "Everyone talks about this great jab Quartey has, I dont see it."

At least he could be good at times though. Lennox offers absolutly nothing. He's the worst commentator I've ever heard. All he does is state the obvious every time.

"You see he's working his jab here............and this is what he needs to do."

Even the best commentators can get it wrong sometimes.

I'd say that most people liked RJJ as a commentator, even if he was a bit of a self-promoter at times. He was made to look like a bit of a fool there though.

Foreman of course was in his own class when it came to predicting things and have the complete opposite happen right after.

I have thousands of fights & I admit George can be irritating but he always called it the way it is,he fought in four decades & was never afraid to talk about when he lost or got hurt ,etc.lewis was a great boxer but always arrogant even while commentating.foreman also was the ONLY announcer/expert who said wladimir klitschko would be the world champion & the best heavyweight right after his 2 crushing defeats.he was the only one who gave him any credit.I recall Roy jones comparing him to butterbean & the rest said the next big thing became the next big bust.no one but George said he'd win,not even the ring magazine.wlad has weaknesses but he is the best right now.George always called it down the middle & called it like it was.anybody remember mccall/lewis 2 when mccall started crying? I just want to go up there & give him a hug said foreman.LOL!

That wasn't so bad though. He just said "I don't know if he was hurt there" and as soon as he said the last word he landed a crushing blow. Bad timing more than anything else.

Haha that was brilliant: "I don't think that Azumah can truly...BAM! Oh yeah, Oh yeah!" Hilarious

Actually he was saying that "I don't know if Azumah can truly hurt Leija" and right after Nelson knocked down Leija on the canvas.

Afterwards Roy said that Leija could never recover from the knockdown but Leija did recover and fought on until the fight was stopped due to a bad cut on Leija's eye.

I prefer him to Jim Lampley, to be honest.

I enjoy George's commentary sometimes. I like that he's opinionated and speaks his mind, rather than just agreeing with Merchant and Lampley.

Foreman would make mistakes, and was very biased, but he's a true boxing fan and very passionate.

Lampley on the other hand doesn't seem to have a great deal of boxing knowledge, is very biased, and doesn't seem to have a great deal of passion for the sport.
