Who doesn't have b level fighters on their resume?? You mean to tell me Jones, Hopkins, Mayweather have fought more ATGs than DLH?? Please enlighten me.
Also tell me what happened to Hopkins & Jones when they did face one, that were their size??
You do realize that Jones started fighting at 154 don't you? So what "smaller fighters" was he beating at 160-168 175, or heavyweight? And last time I checked, Hopkins beat everybody his size at 160 minus Jermaine Taylor. He also beat the bigger Tarver. So that doesnt hold there.
DLH fought Chavez in his 20th fight the first time. Didn't Pac have over 40 fights already before he fought Morales??? Are those Hopkins opponents great like a smaller Trinidad, DLH, Winky?? Better yet, are they ATGs?? Don't think so. DLH lost to Pac, so what. Better than fighting an overhyped Pavlik.
This is a fighter who has no amateur background! and no shiny Olympic medal to give him clout to fight big name in his obscure year. Oh and btw he already lineal champ at 19 with 23-1 record. already a 122 titlist, lineal at 126 when he fought Morales. And all your past-prime arguments....Pac is 30 now with as much mileage as Morales.....yet he is facing heavier opponents (and winning in brutal fashion). So please GTFO when defending dela Hoya you point to Packy. Find another "boxer" to compare with.
I don't understand on beating Whitaker, Hernandez, Ruelas, Chavez, Gonzalez prior to that makes you the worst P4P. All while Roy Jones was knocking out your local policeman.
Oscar is very underrated right now, mostly due to some ridiculously close decision losses. Most dont even consider his wins over Chavez, Whitaker, Macho Camacho, etc. when he was on his way up. In a way he is the victim of his own ambitions, taking on all of the best fighters above and below him throughout his career.
I voted Tyson, just because I rate him less highly than most. Hearns is maybe a possibility, but seeing as I like him more than Tyson, yeah.
All you ****** mother****ers(including HBO) had undefeated Vernon Forrest #1 p4p after a undefeated former p4p1 Mosley beat former p4p#1 Oscar, then every one said Vernon definitely is p4p #1 when Vernon won the rematch vs Mosley, then p4p #1 (undefeated)Vernon Forrest got kod by a crazyman Mayorga in 3 rds, so much for p4p #1
only reason fighters like overated Floyd ,ok fighter like solid Mosley(not a real p4p 1 ) and the joke Forrest were p4p #1 was cause they are Americans,
Floyd was the worst long reign #1 p4p boxer, overated scared ***** who fought soda vendors
Worst p4p #1 was Vernon Forrest

i cant beleive De la Hoya has the most votes, are ppl on here mad or have they just got short memories, man ODH was awsome in his Haye day and in my opinion he beat Mayweather, he dint look good against pack but we can let him off i think as weight drained, he is like a four weight champion and when he lost most could have gone either way, he came from super feather and goes right up to middle, he would have beaten Pac in his prime he was brave to take on the much bigger Hopkins and only lost to some of the best. dont forget what he brought to this sport.
