Calzaghe vs Pavlik

I always thought being embarrassed would mean a knockout. At the very least a knockdown. Calzaghe UD. Joe just cant match the kind of force Taylor put on him in the 2nd round. Even after that Pavlik still got up.

If Hopkins didnt stop him on accumulation over 12 rounds, I dont think Calzaghe could. He wasnt even really close, so it just wont happen.

Pavlik wasn't long from being stopped. If they still did 15 rounders, it would've happened.

JC's ability to hurt guys is chronically underestimated on this board. As for Pavlik, we've seen him be confused by activity, unable to defend himself from, and hurt by, a hail of fast, accurate punching. Joe would have no problem landing accurately on Pavlik, in volume and from angles. He'd stop him.

Calzaghe could never match the force of that combo that Taylor hit him with. Ive seen Calzaghe and im a fan of his. To say he doesnt knock out Kelly Pavlik isnt a strech. I agree Calzaghe wins, Calzaghe by a good size UD.

There was two knockdowns, Gully. And sure, Eubank was 31 at the time, but he always had an iron chin and he never lost it even after the Calzaghe fight, he went to Cruiserweight and gave Carl Thompson a good run for his money. He was never knocked down at Cruiser. In fact I had Eubank winning the first Thompson fight. Shame about the second fight being stopped on cuts. Make no mistake, Eubank was one of the toughest mother****ers in the sport!
