Anybody who says Taylor isnt elite is a fruitloop.
The way Hopkins embaressed him I wouldn't be surprised if Joe TKO'd him off accumulation

Same with Hopkins. The Hopkins that fought Johnson stops Pavlik without a doubt. He threw ****loads of punches back then.
Hopkins would have never stopped Pavlik. He threw a ton of punches agaisnt Pavlik when they fought. So that shouldnt have been a problem.

At 160 Pavlik would have had a much better chance agaisnt Hopkins. He wouldnt win but he would be at his best weight and not outsized fighting somebody a full weight class bigger.

I always thought being embarrassed would mean a knockout. At the very least a knockdown. Calzaghe UD. Joe just cant match the kind of force Taylor put on him in the 2nd round. Even after that Pavlik still got up.

If Hopkins didnt stop him on accumulation over 12 rounds, I dont think Calzaghe could. He wasnt even really close, so it just wont happen.

Hopkins threw a lot more punches back in 1997. He was a machine dude. He is the only man to ever stop Glen Johnson. In the Pavlik fight Hopkins threw 530 punches. 1997 version was much more relentless.

And I disagree with you on the weight. Hopkins hugely outclasses Pavlik at ANY weight!

You're saying Calzaghe never hit as hard as Taylor? Damn. You best believe he did back in the day before the hand injuries plagued him.

I never said Pavlik would beat him. Pavlik is a middleweight. The picked 170 pound Hopkins catch weight was a mistake. He was very outsized. Theirs no doubt in mind Pavlik fights better at middleweight, were he isnt out sized by a full weight class.

Two things that Pavlik carries over nearly all of his opponents are size, strength and power. Calzaghe negates at least two of those three. Quite frankly, Pavlik would look lost in there with him.

Calzaghe could never match the force of that combo that Taylor hit him with. Ive seen Calzaghe and im a fan of his. To say he doesnt knock out Kelly Pavlik isnt a strech. I agree Calzaghe wins, Calzaghe by a good size UD.

Hopkins was 43 years, imagine the heat he'd put on him in his prime. Pavlik didn't win one round that is embaressment. Marquez got KO'd against Vazquez in the 2nd fight was he embaressed? What about Cotto against Margarito? Diaz against Marquez?

A one sided 12 round beating is much more embaressing than a KO unless the beating leads to a KO. Pavlik was embaressed, Hopkins stopped Glen Johnson, Tito Trinidad, Oscar guys who never been stopped before and Hopkins did it. At 160 in B-hops prime he would destroy Pavlik worse, he would TKO him so would Calzaghe at 168.

Pavlik has no answers when he's confronted with lateral movement Calzaghe and B-Hop have that in spades. Calzaghe and B-Hop may not even have to drop Pavlik they may just make the ref stop the fight from the beating he's taking.
