IMO Floyd would be head to head the best at 130

But Arguello's resume was sick at that weight

130 lb dream match up - Arguello vs Mayweather Jr

    NO ONE BEATS FLOYD. SKILLWISE.

Listen moron(s), best all-time lists for boxing have very little to do with head-to-head scenarios, as those are completely speculative. When it comes down to it, there are two men in the ring going at it, and it is impossible to prove who would win unless they fight each other in their prime. On paper, things may look a certain way, but that's why they fight the fights. Last time I checked there have been a few upsets in boxing.

Mayweather is in a good position at #2 here, but it's about accomplishments within the division, not whether or not a bunch of fanboys think he would win the head-to-head against #1.

Arguello except he won't get dropped

My dream match would be Mayweather vs Whitaker at 135
Arguello is very different from Corrales. He would actually use his height and reach, not come running face first into Mayweather's quick counter punches.

15 rounds and Arguello has a definite chance.

Whitaker is ranked very highly at lightweight and also as a welterweight where he did the majority of his work.

There is no case for him to be ranked as a great SFW or a LWW though, as great as he was.

Look as a Floyd fan i ent complaining about him being ranked no2.... It was always gona be out of him and Arguello and either of them could be ranked no1.

No complaints really. Even if Floyd was no1, still no complaints.

I think out of those 3 Floyd beats cervantes, And e loses a close desicion or late TKO to JCC and a fight with Arguello is 50/50.

But according to *****s, he is a god, that can be only beaten by a clone, and the clone may lose because he is not the original Floyd, ****ken hilarious!!!!
Are you trying to say that Judah & Hatton gave Mayweather trouble? It's boxing! Judah got his off for 5rds then got systematically broke down to the point of desperate tactics to get out of that KO situation. Hatton? Gave Mayweather problems? Probably because he held & grabbed so much but other than that Floyd was beating this guys face in, buckling his knees. I had a friend who was at the Floyd/Hatton fight sitting right next to Mosley behind De La Hoya and he said he saw Floyd back Hatton up to the ropes, look over to De La Hoya like WHAT!

Then blow a kiss at him like Oscar was a lil chick. You guys are crazy on here. I try not to respond on Floyd posts but to me it's hard to refrain because clearly this guy is/was a special talent. Castillo in his prime was a GREAT tough fighter when Floyd fought him so we shouldn't expect less of him to be a tough challenge for Floyd. But Floyd gave Castillo a rematch right after the first fight and beat him and that's what you guys keep forgetting. He fought him again and showed that he can beat him.

Floyd was 148 pounds moving up to 154, Oscar was six pounds heavier than 154 at 5'10,1/2", Floyd is 5'8" six pounds off come fight night, so of course he had to fight a cautious fight especially since De La Hoya picked his gloves? Name 1 fighter that put De La Hoya out prior to Manny and before Floyd fought him (AT HIS COMFORTABLE WEIGHT). Gatti was a champ at 140 and so was Baldomir at 147? He beat them all!! Did you even read what you wrote? "Hatton gave Floyd a hard time until the stoppage"? Ha ha ha.....that's funny.

All I gotta say is that the list was good. Of course Arguello should be #1! Just compare his opposition with Floyd's. He destroyed his opponents and did it for 15 rds. I think that if there was a Mayweather in those days, he would've beat him too, but we'll never know, will we?
