Why are they chasing Pac?? For the $$$$$$.......SAME **** OSCAR DID.

Where is the he started at flyweight bull**** now??

Wasn't Cotto talking **** about Top Rank Being Greedy but yet he's after the $$$$ fights???

Mosley has fought up to 154 also.
    u have a good point.

still cotto is about to face clottey... and that had nothing to do with money.......the fight with pac i see it as a reward from bob arum in order to make him signs again with him... and for helping him to give a good payday to his hungry lion. (clottey)

But yeah.. cotto is chasing the bigger $$ fights @ this stage of his career.

Well, right...that's the thing. You can argue Cotto is the #1 because he beat Mosley already and you can argue Mosley is because he beat Margarito (the then recognized champ). It's up in the air until they inevitably fight. But I don't think them not fighting right now will take any luster away from them rematching.

A lot of people haven't thought that both Mosley and Cotto can have big fights separately by the end of the year with both of them having the opportunity for the rematch in 2010 with a bigger build up than possibly the 1st fight. Anything can happen.

#1 should be left open until the winner of cotto/mosley fights pwill.... in anycase mosley should be ranked higher than cotto

I don't argue that Mosley or Cotto should be over one another. It's a debate that'll never end until they fight again.

But PWill is done as a WW. He hasn't been discussed in any WW fights since he fought at 160 months back. He's gotta worry about Winky though, that ain't no walk in the park (regardless of Winky's layoff).

I don't think Paul Williams will return to 147, although I wish he would.

Now that Margarito is out of the picture for a year, how can you rank Mosley above Cotto? Surely the #1 spot isn't filled by either of them at this moment.

i dont mind if mosley is not #1 as long as mosley is ranked higher than cotto.

I justify it like this: mosley destroyed margo, where margo made cotto quit. although cotto beat mosley in a close fight, where if it was in vegas I could see mosley winning, the current mosley under ****m I feel is a better tha the version of mosley that cotto fought.

obviously, this will not be resolved until the rematch, hence I want the rematch sooner than later for clarity's sake. I don't like messy divisions. I don't care if cotto unfies with both clottey and berto... he HAS TO fight mosley still to become #1.

Depending how long he stays at 154-160, it might not be a safe move for him to come back down to 147. Health wise, it's easier moving up than moving down and if he's fighting Winky now and comes off with a win, he can fight a Kirkland, Angullo, Pavlik, Sturm, etc. I think he's going to get serious recognition in the upper weight classes. A Winky win will put him there.

agreed. i think pwill knows no welterweight with a name wants anything to do with him. he's moved on.

I think it's more of how big a fight they can make with Pwill than any of the Welters not wanting to fight him because they think he'd win. Pwill's proven he can be beat, but he's yet to gain that recognition that would make Mosley vs PWill or Cotto vs Pwill a big attraction. A lot of people still look at him as an up and comer, Cotto & Mosley are WWs who are after the big fights. Pwill isn't necessarily a big fight, but I think he will be eventually.

Get margs sack out yo neck.

Margarito wanted to plaster-slap Pacman too. The difference is Margarito is 5'11...

Sad really. Daniel Santos really told him to leave 154 an never come back unless it was to deliver food.
