he will be at least#20 p4p fighter in the sport inmy list.

I already have him at number 9. If he beats Pacquiao, will have to see how he looks. I mean if he strugle to a SD, he should stay at 9, if he KOs Pacquiao n dramatic fashio and he dominates the entire fight, hell be number 5, no higher than that.

If he wants to be consider number 1 P4p, hell have to beat, Mosley and Cotto

It is indeed opinion, but most people tend to agree with the RING magazine's list. In some ways, you could kinda consider it "official", even though there is no such thing as an official list.

You don't think he was a punch or two from being out of there? If Hatton was nearly KO'd as you say, then I think Marquez was almost KO'd too.

When Mosley beat Margarito, he immediately jumped Margs and Cotto on the P4P list, even though Cotto has already beaten Mosley. So why shouldn't the same happen for Ricky?

Listen Marquez is a great fighter and a HOFer, but how come he gets so much credit for these controversial losses (Pacman, John) while Ricky only has one loss and very few of his fights have been controversial (Collazo aside) and he's the one that catches all the criticism.

If Hatton beats Pacman, this is what the top 3 should look like:
            1. Hatton
            2. Pacman
            3. Marquez

What will it actually look like probably is:
            1. Marquez
            2. Hopkins
            3. Vasquez
            4. Hatton
            5. Pacman

I dont see how anyone could place him P4P number1. I mean is he a better fighter than Shane Mosley?

Shane Mosley would air that mofo, if they ever fought each other. What people say? he is not a WW. Pacquiao is not a 140lbs, then if he loses.

Not me. I apply my own commonsense.

I dont see how people can move up and down the rankings so frequently from fight to fight. It should not work like that.

Hatton has one loss on his record to the best fighter in probably the last ten years. He has wins over hall of famers (Tszyu and Castillo). Do I think he will be the #1 P4P fighter, no. But he would deserve it in my book, that's the point I'm trying to make.

I have a post above that descibes by position on Marquez/Hatton, I compare it to Mosley jumping Cotto in the P4P rankings.

OK, but check most people's lists. They often tend to agree with the RING magazine quite closely. The RING's is made up of an large independent panel of boxing "experts". I don't think I have ever agreed with them 100%, but to be honest my own list (which isn't worth anything whasoever) doesn't usually stray too far from theirs. And that's the thing -- mine and your lists are meaningless. The RING has much more clout than anyone here.

Mosley has one impressive victory in the past few years and all the sudden he's the measuring stick?

I won't put him as my #1, but I do think he would deserve it.
