he quit but in now way would i call him a quitter ... theres just an obsession in boxing about quitting and its implications with warrior mentality and heart. max is right but he's also being as ******* to a guy thats more then redeemed himself and a guy that no one could question his cajones ...

See this thread is the exact reason why sports fans should all be lined up and executed on site.

The guy's nose was completely fractured and you want him to go on?

Bwahahahahahaahha!!! Half of you guys call into work when you get the slightest cold and Izzy has to risk getting severly injured for a bunch of ignorent boxing fans?

Seriously guys on behalf of izzy vasquez go *** yourselfves!!!

The man couldn't breath. Is it quitting... technically it is, but if you can't breath you can't fight and thats the way it is. Vazquez did the right thing, since pushing your body to the limit while your brain isn't getting the oxygen it needs can lead to serious implications, that could have ended Vazques as a fighter, and may have ended his life. I don't consider what he did a sin in boxing at all.

Guess Max didnt know about the injuries Vazquez suffered in the 3rd fight. And he kept fighting.

Get the **** out of here LOL

Your implying is that what he did was shameful and he's going to have to live with it. He could have DIED.

Got to love comments from armchair boxers who have never laced up a pair of gloves or taken a punch to the face.

What's funny is that all the ones that voted no are probably mostly the ones that voted that Cotto quit.
