I've always been a fan of the Ghost. But he disappointed me. I feel he quit right there. No different than what Rahman did recently vs Toney.

Yordan was giving him a run for his money in the first 2 rounds. I didnt see Guerrero land anything significant, but I did see Yordan time Guerrero coming in twice, in both rounds, with effective right hands.

I don't believe Guerrero's BS about him not being able to see.. you could tell the ref and even the doctor both thought the guy was full of ****.

Whether Guerrero wins or loses that fight, he would've had a tough night ahead of him. Yordan was no pushover. Guerrero knew this and didn't want to fight another 10 rounds with the cut. I expected more out of him honestly. He should've fought on.

Could you imagine if paul williams quit after round 1 against Phillips?
that wasn't directly above the eye but I think Guerrero wasn't ready for what Daud brought and chose to play it safe.
You could have easily stopped that cut from bleeding in between rounds with some vasaline.
I don't know why he quit, most boxers would have chosen to keep fighting.

That **** ******. He coulda fought 1 more rd at least to see how he could do, but he str8 punked out. Maybe he figured he wouldn't get dissed just cuz he was close to home, but I was disappointed as ****. Especially cuz his opponent was no pushover and came to win, which meant it woulda been a good fight.

Guerrero should have kept fighting. The way Yourdan was fighting (or rather not fighting) would have led to him being DQ'ed for repeated holding by the 5th round.

AS Kellerman noted in the commentary, Kirkland would not have quit under the same circumstances.

              Shat, Kirkland swallows razor blades!

Quick question: Does anybody think Kirkland is ****ing Wolfe or vice versa?

I was okay with it. Disappointed, but okay with it. The cut was a legitimate disadvantage and I think Guerrero knew he'd be fighting a tricky guy with a problem that was only going to get worse. He was practical and cautious about it because in reality he needs to be. The guy has a lot to live and work for.

He should have kept fighting and I think if he doesn't get cut, he wins the fight. It would have gone maybe 1-2 rounds before they stopped it anyway, it was a terrible cut.

He should have gone on though.....

thats true but its not like guerrero fought on, lost and his fans abandoned him. we're talking about the specific situation of him deciding to not go on, especially because it seems he just took the easy way out because he had his hands full with yordan.
