The only way someone's KO'ing Cotto, by the way, is with the aid of plaster.
When Floyd walked away, Mosley was coming off a loss

    Pacquiao was at 130

Margarito was coming off a loss

Cotto was the only one who deserved a shot at the king of boxing at that time since he was on somewhat of a streak

Keeping it real, Cotto was on a bit more than a streak. Cotto was looking like he might be THE best fighter in the sport behind Mayweather. He was right up there with the best of the best in the whole sport, coming off of impressive wins over Judah and Mosley, and an undefeated resume that had seen challenging opponents for years. Cotto definitely deserved that fight in early 08.

ahhh floyd has ducked any good fighter that has every come his way. you monkeys that compare him to cotto are emabarassing this site. cotto has fought mosley margarito and now going to fight clottey who the &^*& has floyd fought. one of his toughest fights was against castillo at lightweight, guess what marquez is a hell of a lot better. floyd has never been in a war and the fact he got p4p recognition was an ambarrassment by people who don't know anything about the sport. pac and marquez and cotto are true boxers and floyd is a ***** who is a disgrace to the sport. stop pumping this money makers tires and make him fight a tough fight. hatton at 147 doesn't count cause pac is manning up and fighting him at 140.

Am I the only one who sees Cotto as one of the more difficult match ups for Floyd? Physically strong, big puncher, solid offensive and defensive boxing skills, etc.

Marquez still had to adjust with LW fighters, dont tell me Marquez dominated the whole fight with Diaz and Casamayor. Tell me what happens when he faces Mayweather. Marquez just wants to fight Floyd to surpass Pac or beat Pac's status. Pacquiao never called out Floyd and never will, he's smarter then that. Good luck trying to beat Floyd if that fight happens.
If you had taken the time to read the thread you would have seen that I said Marquez won't beat Floyd. Marquez is better off fighting the hatton/pac winner.
Only reason Marquez would want to fight Floyd is for a payday and nothing more.

I would suggest you make a poll and find out.

If Mayweather accept this fight, he is the most coward ***** and picking smaller guys...

What is the sense of fighting Marquez when there is Mosley, Cotto and/or Pacquiao?
