I don't get it. Why do dumbass boxers try to make it seem like they are naturally just GOING to win.

If they were that goo d at convincing us, and they try to be at convincing themselves, they should know that it wouldn't be worth watching.

Jesus, credit your opponent, build him up to the highest level. Then, it makes your accomplishment seem better.

Now, if he gets beaten.. he looks like an ass.

I know a lot of fighters do this, I'm not trying to single out Hatton at all. He's a likeable guy, actually. But, it just happened to get to me this particular time.

I dont understand Hatton. He's a massive Junior Welterweight, he's fighting a Lightweight, and if he wins he wants to fight another one. He says he's too small for Welterweight, yet he claims that beating the aforementioned Lightweight will make him the best pond for pound.

      Huh?

I don't believe he needs to box Pacquiao, because he will lose. On the other hand, there's always a problem for Hatton if he reverts to his old style (like how he fought Kostya) and plays rough, possibly getting frustrated which could lead to a strict referee taking points away. I'm very interested to find out who will be the referee in this fight.

The more I look at it, the more I see Hatton's almost painted himself into a corner with Floyd Sr. Against the right opponents, no doubt he's been a good influence, but I'm not sure if Floyd's usual type of training is a good thing against Pacquiao.

        Again, just thoughts.
Against Malignaggi they said Hatton wouldn't be able to box him and he proved most of us wrong . I think judging by his last performance and new style under Mayweather Snr he's at least got half a chance because he'll probably have a plan a and plan b. We know but that Pac is the p4p king and has phenomanal hand speed , will hatton run into too many straigh left hands , we'll see .

Also notice how he went from "nobody will ever beat me" to "nobody will ever beat me at 10 stone!" after he got KTFO by a guy who actually weighed less than him on fight night. Ricky will rationalize anything.

Replenishing 14 pounds over night is quite an accomplishment.. Hate to repeat what everyone else is saying but if he enters the ring at 154 then he's basically saying that he's a natural welterweight... yet he's had problems at that weight...

At the Manchester Press Conference, when Paquiao and Hatton went for the stare down.. Hatton jokingly got on his tip toes as if to say I'm bigger than you, I personally thought there wasn't a massive difference and the fact that Hatton did that proved even more to me that there aint much in it...

Paquiao takes this... I'm open to bet all my points.

One last thing... at least he didn't mention that dreaded P4P Title he's made up...

Still, this fight will probably be like a bulldog trying to catch a wasp. It might catch it, but it's gonna sting like a *****.
              very good analogy...........

He wont come in the ring at 154 no way..Secondly looking at the **** Hopkins spills Don't see any of you saying **** then, Plus hes a big time cheat like his Bum Bandit Cortez..Hatton Vs Pac is gonna be a good night of boxing is it not??? Hi Guys!

I understand why alot of people are picking Manny on this one! If I was fighting I would be completely awed by the man! he is a legend! Hatton could win this and its a completely different fight for Manny than De La Hoya was (not taking anything from Manny). Ricky has improved since training with Mayweather he is still a scrappy messy fighter but he has bucketloads of heart and he is relentless. He has tried to clean his boxing up but Manny has the edge on him there. Ricky does seem more relaxed and confident nowadays (he defo didnt before the Mayweather fight) but he needs to stay realistic - he could be in for the fight of his life! But this is boxing and Im constantly surprised by the sport so anything could happen!

I just think Hatton has to be given some credit even though he does tend to contradict himiself slightly (as do a lot of boxers) but its good to see that Hatton and Manny are respectful of each other and its the trainers who are ready to get in the ring! My money would be on Mayweather Snr!!
