Well then by his own mouth he was bigger than Floyd because PBF weighed 150 fighting him ,,, seriously Ricky is turning into a any story that suits kinda guy or just a flat out bull****ter that in the real world got knocked out as a jnr welterweight by a jnr welterweight , unbeaten while weighing as a jnr welter , haha what a load off bull**** !!

That's a good point and it's something that crossed my mind recently, too. But I think his problems were possibly not so much due to weight as they were dealing with certain tricky opponents:

Mayweather -- leagues above in terms of skill
Collazo -- southpaw, which Manny is also.

These guys gave him the most problems. Skilled, fast southpaws + Ricky Hatton = bad combination?

I know Hatton has been training to slip the left, but he should not overlook the fact that Pac's right hand is also very good now. He did great things with it in the Diaz fight, for example, and also in the Oscar fight. When he fought Marquez, his right hand was not as good, and it seems he and Roach realized this and worked on it, along with better footwork for avoiding and turning bigger opponents as he moved up the weight classes.

          JAT.

I'm tired of this... when did you hear Pacquiao speaking about his advantages or being proud of himself?

It's true, but he does have a slightly bigger frame, although there really isn't that much between them once Hatton has boiled off the pies.

Still, this fight will probably be like a bulldog trying to catch a wasp. It might catch it, but it's gonna sting like a *****.

                  umm..

Didn't Paulie give Hatton a knot of his eye?

I truely feel Hatton is going to be in for a surprise come May. Manny's speed will bulldoze Hatton.

The way I see it , they're both coming off good performances , plus Hatton looks improved under Mayweather snr . We'll see when the time comes .

Could it be that Mayweather Sr. is trying to teach Ricky the wrong things, though? Training him out of that rough, mauling style might actually be his undoing. I don't believe he needs to box Pacquiao, because he will lose. On the other hand, there's always a problem for Hatton if he reverts to his old style (like how he fought Kostya) and plays rough, possibly getting frustrated which could lead to a strict referee taking points away. I'm very interested to find out who will be the referee in this fight.

The more I look at it, the more I see Hatton's almost painted himself into a corner with Floyd Sr. Against the right opponents, no doubt he's been a good influence, but I'm not sure if Floyd's usual type of training is a good thing against Pacquiao.

                      Again, just thoughts.
